Help Save a Child With Your Christmas Gifts
Zara-Anne & Kids World Foundation
Zara-Anne & Kids World Foundation is a registered non-profit organization where like-hearted individuals come together and become agents of change.
Our key areas of focus are what we believe to be the pillars of a fulfilling life: health and education.
Every child dreams of being around his/her family during Christmas like many of us have. A Young child without his or her parent is very disturbing and it results in unhappy life. No matter how difficult it is, it’s never too late for these lovely kids.

There is this saying “Give and it shall come back to you in thousand full”. My first donation journey started with the Great Losa Family to the Osu Children’s Home at La/Accra. It was a great experience helping this little kids who have been rejected by their parents or had lost them.
“It’s not easy watching all these kids here, sometimes we get short of food or water to drink, each and every day is a different challenge. Management is the key thing here, it helps a lot. With the donations and sponsorships we are able to handle certain issues that arises. I will plead with you to continue helping and remembering these little ones each and every time cause it’s not an easy job and I can’t do it alone. Your donations are always welcome and thank you very much” words of the Head Madam
These are some of the things we presented on that day to help support the little ones. It wasn't that much but it was better than nothing. One thing I realize was apart from the food and drink the kids were very happy to see a soccer ball added to the donation and started playing right after the presentation.
At this particular time when we were set to present our donation they were all busy in their various houses working or learning. After a little while a bell was rang and they all came with happy faces knowing what that particular bell stands for.
So the presentation started…
They all gathered nicely and we prayed with them and sang a lot of songs together. You can see me in front from the left with my hands folded with a book in my hands which was shared by some missionaries on our way into the Osu Children’s Home. We had a lovely time, so did the kids.
Before everything commenced we had to fill in and sign a document which had all our items listed in it for future reference.
After everything was done we took some group photos – I am second from the left. After we met with the manageress again and she was appealing for sponsorship to renew some of the teachers/workers blocks which had cracks and was very old. And she was told to write a letter and address any problem she wants to be solved in it, and would be given to authorities in high positions to come to their aid.
After we left Osu children’s home to find something to eat. Surprisingly the restaurant we visited the owner was also a Great Losa member so he was immediately added to the group platform on social media. At the top from right he is explaining his recipes to us. He gave us the go ahead to visit and have meetings in his restaurant any time needed and free discount on any food we buy, wow what a small world. After we all went home since we all came from different places.
First from right
Psalm 41:1-3—Happy is one who cares for the poor; the LORD will save him in a day of adversity. The LORD will keep him and preserve him; he will be blessed in the land. You will not give him over to the desire of his enemies. The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed; you will heal him on the bed where he lies.
My second Journey was to “Eye of the Lord” located at Eastern region, Nsawam. The founder is a blind man and his wife.
It was a long but short journey but we finally got there, we prepared our donation and the kids were gathered.
The Blind Man's Wife
This lovely baby was abandoned in a gutter by her mum at Accra says the blind man’s wife – We heard it on radio that a child has been abandoned in a gutter so we went to bring her in. After that, one of our members(Zara-Anne) offered to bring her diapers every month.
The Blind Man
The blind man prayed and later the kids sung lots of magical beautiful songs to us. The items were a lot and they were happy.
There was a bible reading section were two kids read the bible in bits. After we shared biscuits for them and we prayed and left.
My 3rd journey
My 3rd journey was a Christmas carols party for the kids which I designed the banner myself. The event started without me so I missed the first three sections. It was wonderful with lovely performances, gifts, food and drinks.
Banner
After they played around a bit and watched a Christmas movie to conclude everything.
These results are really quite unbelievable.
People spend more on jewelry, watches and shoes every day. Did you know that there are currently thousands of kids living close by and around the world that do not have the funds to afford basic essentials such as food, clothing and education?
We, at Zara-Anne & Kids World Foundation are working hard to raise funds to support these street children.
Most people’s living rooms are filled with every possession you can think of with bedrooms filled with different kinds of assets, drawers overflowing and closets crowded with cloths.
Not forgetting its Christmas and there will be more spending on more clothes, shoes and jewelries resulting in more and lots of additional materials to the already choked things at home.
It’s not bad to buy something you admire or want to help improve your life. But now lots of things are just not that important to keep whiles the most important ones we turn to neglect them.
We want to help bring awareness and great solutions to the orphan crisis around the world. There are over 26 million children around the world with no parents and nothing to hold up on to survive.
If they are been raised up wrongly, many of them after aging out of the orphanage homes will face a future of bad companies, crimes, prostitution and drugs.
Zara-Anne and Kids Foundation want to transform the future of these orphans and we want you to be a great part of the solution.
We challenge you to offer your Christmas gift to someone who needs it very badly.
Zara-Anne and Kids World foundation would love to ask steemians for donations that will make a difference in these kids future than adding more to the already crowded things at home this Christmas.
Our first annual (Christmas & New year Hand) event will take place on 1st January 2018 at eastern region Presby church. This year’s theme is (Be a helping hand to a child). Our goal is to raise $3000US dollars that will be used for educational materials and as well as financial support, food & drinks, clothing & other events prizes and materials. Our holiday season can be used to solve lots of very important problems around the world.
Our goal is to have 400 people to donate their holiday season gifts to someone who needs it. Doesn't that sound so much more rewarding than receiving unwanted gifts this Christmas?
In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from all Steemians and Caring individuals such as yourself.
