UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Unconditional love is our mother’s precious gift for us, no need for us to ask her about it ‘coz her love is purer than the clear water in the ocean. She cares for us even if we are still inside her womb. Seven to Nine months of sacrifices she offered for us. The day we were born, that was one of the happiest moment in her entire life.

MY FIRST EVER MENTOR

My mother was my very first mentor she taught me to smile, to say mama and papa. She taught me how to crawl before I learned to walk. She never stop elucidate good things to me as what every mothers do to their child. She taught me what is right and what is wrong. She taught me the word respect and how it reflects from ourselves to another.

HER DREAM WAS

My mother was not able to finish her primary school she stopped after grade three, as her mother (my grandmother) wants her to stop because my mother already knew how to read and write. My mother full of regrets ‘bout her mums vision in life. She cries when she tells me the story of how my grandma gets irritated when she insisted to finish her study.

She told me her dream was to become a teacher or a police-woman so she can teach/protect her family but that dream vanished like a smoke in a blink of her eye. I shed tears as she tells me “I could’ve give my kids a better future if I got my profession” and she felt sorry for that.

I MADE HER DREAM COME TRUE

She’s my inspiration, she encouraged me a lot, the reason why I finished my study not just because of her story. I am the youngest in the family with 2 sisters and 2 brothers so we are five. My brothers and sisters just finished their high school and did not continue to college. They wanted to be enrolled in a private school, which my parents cannot afford. They’re good kids to my parents honestly.

As a mother, she did everything what she can do for her kids but she was not able to convinced them back in school. What she can always do is to cry blaming herself for not being a good provider to us, which is NOT TRUE. Watching her crying made me sad and even thinking of a vengeance must be served ‘coz I love her so much.

Those are the reasons why I finished my study, I may not an honored student during those days but I really felt the love and support of my mother/parents. I don’t need a private school (because we cannot afford). I went school without an allowance even 1 peso coin I love it ‘coz I helped and lessen my parents head ache for thinking what we were going to eat next.

As I finished my degree, she was so happy and leave the words that made my tears drop unnoticed “ikaw lng jud tawon nakatuman sa akong pangandoy gang” which in english “you made my dream come true dear”.

LONGING FOR HER SON

When I got married last April 2017, a day after the wedding I slept in my wife’s house. Then my sister called me @10:00 in the evening asking me to call my mother because they left my mum and they are going somewhere they can enjoy. They don’t want to see my mum crying ‘coz they’re going to cry too.

So I called my mother then she picked up her phone and her voice made me cry I still remember what she said on that call while she’s crying “wa pa diay ka natulog gang? Gimingaw naman ko nimo gang wa naman koy tupad diri matulog wa nay mokuyog nako magwalking, manyangge, wa nay mo-unlan sa akong paa., I love you gang” which in English “you’re still awake dear? I miss you so much, you’re no longer here to sleep beside me, You’re not here to walk with me in the morning and accompany me in going to the market, You’re not here to cuddle with me at night before I sleep. I love you dear”

I used to sleep beside my mother for 27 years so I can’t blame her of what she felt after I got married and separate from them.

HOW LOVELY MY MOTHER IS

My mother loves everyone of us equally she cares about us even though we are already in our respective family. She will not let the day pass without sending us a private message through messenger. I’m so grateful for she’s my mother the most precious woman in my life.

Even to our pets she talks to them like talking to a person. I might inherited her blood or soul of being a pet lover LOL.
