My Amazing Adjustments since I encountered Steemit

Thanks to @surpassinggoogle for giving me this opportunity to express myself on what steemit has done in my life.
I am @emem and base in uyo( @steemit-uyo)

LIFE BEFORE I MET STEEMIT
Before I encountered Steemit, I used to be a lover of Facebook,Instagram,posted all my pictures there,I could chat all day sometimes I end up achieving nothing.
I was a lover of YouTube too cause I always downloaded videos especially movies.
But deep down i always believed there was more out there than sitting all day chatting and doing nothing.

Am a student though I worked for five months cause I couldn't get enough money from my parents.
Asking for money for upkeep from them especially when its not about school,was difficult.

My Encounter with Steemit
Steemit was introduced to me by a friend @samstickkz in June,2017.
I abandoned it cause then I was into some networking I took seriously cause to me,it was my source of income.

I never believed that posting or being on Steemit would actually earn me anything especially when you don't put anything (capital)cause I believed you put capital and get double or extra,so I left it.

My Steemit Experience
I later went back to Steemit and decided to do my best.
My first post(introduce yourself)got $33 and I was so excited and I continued.
My next post wasn't encouraging,then I left because of two reasons;my phone was bad and I didn't have standby electricity cause the transformer in my street went bad and we spent 1year and three months without electricity.

I was Never visited by cheetah though I always wanted him to because my friend always had him comment on her blog...I always though it was human and I pronounced it as "che'-e--tah!" Lol..
I got to know its works from @samstickkz and the first steemit meet up.

My adjustment since I encountered Steemit
Steemit has made me more independent and confident.
Steemit has been a great help to me and my family(siblings and friends) @blairsinjay @enoye @samstickkz @bimijay @kutekid19 @kanis and many more.
Am different now,even my friends are testifiers, if its not Steemit or something very urgent and important... Its boring to me.

Steemit has taught me a lot
To be smart,unique,socialized and selfless.
"You are best in whatsoever you do especially when you put effort".
Have learnt a lot,academically,socially and financially.

Am just so happy its a new year
3rd January,2018.
and am so happy am a part of the community.
