The BIG picture

In a few posts I will share some thoughts on the world and hopefully convince you of the future that awaits us, as we humans progress through time. This is a first try, so please excuse me - and thank You.

Part 1. Information

Some short history where energy, time and space are the main actors and each has a main role. Energy is set, space expands and time increases, so with time setting the scene:

• Energy became Matter /as space expanded/ Matter became Chemistry /as energy density decreased in expanded space and order started forming/
• Chemistry became Biology /as order began to take shape and became more complex/ 
• Biology became Intelligence /as complexity distilled into self organizing hierarchical structures/  
• Intelligence becomes Information Technology /as structure becomes self regulatory/

You see, there are two major opposing forces the David and Goliath of the universe you could say. On the one side, there is the inherent property of the universe to go down a concentration gradient and try to dissolve, disperse and increase entropy and thus increase disorder, and on the other, is order, which by the way is presumably a leftover consequence of rapid expansion. See The Arrow of Time. These two titans oppose each other since the begining of time, but i now firmly believe that order will come out the winner in the foreseeable future. We as a representative of that force will prevail in the coldness of space and will conquer the desolate vastness of the universe. Every evidence suggests to that.  

As time goes by and these two forces take shape, time itself becomes more and more precious. Information fills time and the density of events that take place in a unit of time is becoming ever increasing. We all know that time is relative and for us humans it even feels that it passes faster as we age. It all comes down to our ability to comprehend instances, events and process new information in our limited cranial capacity and this is the main reason that until now we firmly believed in next generations to become better than us and even in evolution through death and birth. In the information age that we have entered at a fast pace, one could expect that biological limitations will be overcome and the ability to process information will increase. Information and time will become the two most precious commodities. 

As time to gather, understand and process information becomes ever more limited new systems for increased throughput will become imminent. This brings us to the security aspect of it and Blockchain technology which we will discuss in the second post.
