Ratoh Duek from Gondwana Voices

Founded in 1997, Gondwana Voices is Australia’s national choir for treble singers aged 10-17. The ensemble has built an international reputation for performances of outstanding musicianship, specializing in contemporary Australian repertoire.

This concert was filmed in January 2015 at Verbrugghen Hall in Sydney. This concert is the culmination of a two week National Choral School, which includes Gondwana's other choirs and offers an intensive two weeks of rehearsals, performances and workshops with the leading figures in Australian choral music. 

 Ratoh Duek dance is very popular outside of Aceh Province, but this dance outside of Aceh is often regarded as Saman Dance. Differences Saman Dance with Raeasi derivatives from Saman Dance. When the Saman dance was set by UNESCO as the Intelligent Cultural Heritage Presentation List, Saman Dance has since been forbidden to be performed by women, Saman Dance can only be performed by men using Gayo Typical clothing. Saman dance commonly played by young women on the coast turned into ratoh duek. From ratoh duek then changed again into Rateb Meuseukat Dance.
