Growing plants in an apartment, not easy.

in #ummacdan7 years ago (edited)

One day i decided i wanted to grow some plants that i could fill my apartment with, i planted some passion fruit, avocado and lemon.

They grew up an became strong plants but since there is a limited amount of sunlight, in the lving area i couldnt keep them there, i had to keep them in the kitchen in the west, now im thinking, this will take too long to get anything flowery so ive started growing flowering plants on my balcony.

Ofcourse i also have strawberries and peas there so there is more than just the ordinary flowers ive planted, the flowers do grow a lot, two pots filled and in time i can transfer some out in to other pots. On my balcony wich is on the third floor the trouble is that we get really strong winds here since we are not far from the sea, so any plant that grows tall gets pummeled, keeping them low is not easy.

Another thing i keep forgetting is watering, i wish i could build something automatic, would be nice, or keeping a rain barrel out there, would be kind of nice too.
