Things sure liven up in the summer and here is my pit-stop between trips to share highlights of my week. The next one will most likely be filled with camping and sailing and other summer adventures as well.

A nice drive home after some good sailing. I had a couple shots of the warm up race we had preparing for the regatta over the weekend but enough boat picture in that a little lower.

https://nickelbrook.com/ is one of my top 5 local craft breweries and I had to snag one of these even though I am not much of an Imperial IPA guy. Punched me right in the mind with the 9% alcohol by volume but it was not obnoxious in taste. Strong for sure but tasty and I will most likely grab 1 for every 11 other brands I get while it lasts.

I will make a more comprehensive post about the regatta when I am back in the saddle but here is a shot of some of our competition. Strong winds and challenging match racing made for an exciting regatta.

I had a little break from the racing action on the weekend to catch a hip-hop show in the big city. I was most likely the whitest guy there and many probably noted that too but that never stops me. I enjoyed the hell out of the show and it is such a blessing to get a new perspective on the neat stuff happening right under our noses.

A little more training for myself and my little one. I may sound like a broken record but if you have kids, get them into a solid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program for fitness, confidence, and to learn how to have fun failing over and over as they build their minds and bodies.

A little kicking back with my brother. Having him work at another one of my top 5 local craft breweries and taking advantage of his staff discount is sweet! Getting to waste a little time and reconnect and drain some suds is what life is all about.

Speaking of kids and training, Here is the baby and dog of our head instructor. The shot was snapped for the purpose of creating a meme out of it but pretty neat to share here for the baby and pet lovers.
