Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna share to you my thoughts and review on an old film that my grandfather recommended to me last night. It was something that I don't want to watch at first but I gave it a try.

As a teenager, I always go with the trends like the latest movies, music and style. But last night , while I was talking with my grandfather about his life when he was young, he mentioned this film called"Its a Wonderful Life" that he used to watch before. So out my curiosity I downloaded the film and watch it.

That's the movie poster that I've seen. So I was expecting it to be a little romantic which it was but after watching the whole film it was more than that. The movie was released in 1946 as an American Christmas fantasy comedy-drama film that produced and directed by Frank Capra, based on the short story and booklet The Greatest Gift.

So watching the film that was 72 years old now is something new for me. It's hard to imagined that7 decades after its release, It’s a Wonderful Life has solid standing and impression among the viewers as a classic American film, and a holiday-season tradition for many of us.

Synopsis

An angel, Clarence, falls to Earthwhich will guide him through his downs literally, and shows him how his town, family, and friends would have turned out if he had never been born. George meant so much to so many people in town, should he really throw it all away?

Why it's A Wonderful Life?

At the beginning of the film, I asked myself why was the title seemed opposite to what was happening. In the film. It was not a wonderful and easy life for George Bailey at first. He has a lot of ambition and dreams that he wanted to badly but he can't do anything because he served for the people first. It was very miserable at first .

But as the movie progress, we can realized that life isn't perfect , life is full of challenges and that makes life more interesting and wonderful. The director Capra is an old-time movie craftsman, the master of every trick in the bag, and in many ways that makes the viewers gets in the film.

It's a Wonderful life is one of the few movies that becomes more interesting as it gets older. More than the great theme plus the cheery holiday tale set-up makes it very relatable. It's very commendable in a way that the film was inspiring, asphyxiating story about growing up and relinquishing your dreams and ambitions. There's no doubt that It's a Wonderful Life is one of today's most popular and well received Christmas films of all time.

The actors and director are talented. James Stewart is flawless and effective in his role. He was just so natural with his sharply drawn character. The film is uplifting, sentimental fable about the importance of the life that strikes a responsive chord to the viewer. The inspirational, thoroughly festive ending will surely to bring you to tears. Overall the film started on an average note and ended up strong.
