When you ask a question do you really want the answer

Short story

I went to buy a new truck today. At least look at one. My vehicle is pushing 20 years old. I have taken good care of it and enjoy the fact that I do not have a car payment. But why not just look.

I saw a nice truck on the lot that might work. So I went to find a sales person in order to do some negotiation. After all I do not have to buy a vehicle and that puts me in a good position. A sales person meet me half way in my walk to the office building. The sales person was a woman dressed professionally except for the Hillary shirt. We talked for awhile about the truck and she went to get the key for the test drive.

She was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, its performance , gas mileage and so forth. I asked about its towing capacity and she quickly changed the subject. She starting telling me how the seats were hooked up to the ventilation system. Cool air in the summer is piped into the seats for cool air on your buns and back, and in the winter the warm air is sent to the same place giving you a comfortable enjoyable ride.

I quickly stated WOW its a Trump truck. She looked at me with a puzzling face and asked . What do you mean? I simple stated, If it was a Hillary truck it would be blowing smoke up your ass.

The mile walk back to the dealers was not to bad. I wish it was cooler out but I had to get my truck that was parked at the dealers. I think I will keep my truck with no monthly payments.

If you don't want the answer don't ask the question

what you just did :D Nice!

Political jokes are always interesting and can be received negatively easily. I love your Gumby image at the top, my best friend had that as a nickname and was half the reason I clicked through.

They have a problem if it makes you go over the edge

What was the horse, Pokie or something like that
Thanks for reading :)

LOL... i thought it was all about buying a new truck...until Trump got mentioned.... :D
Well, to be honest "Hillary shirt" gave me an hint....

Hahahaha! Love it!

Namaste, JaiChai

I was polite and waved as she drove on. LOL

Hi wolfhart. She asked for it and you gave it.

LOL Yes I did but she did not want that answer to her question.

hahaha oh that's funny. I hope you were kidding when you say you had to walk a mile back to the dealer.
I have a truck that can blow cool air up my ass with a giant payment, and I wish every month that I still had my old payed off truck. Unfortunately for me, it died... wasn't really an issue of choice.

Well it was a lot less. But was asked to get out of the truck for that one statement. No other remarks. It was hot out ! lol
I don't care about heated seats which I have in my truck and never use it. I would be better of keeping my truck running then commuting to a Big monthly payment.

haha that's just so funny she kicked you out of the truck for an anti-hilary statement. I had a girlfriend break up with me that way once when I said something she didn't like. I had never heard of someone else being ditched on the side of the road by a woman other than in movies until I read your story =p

If that was recorded it would go viral, Trending. LOL
I thought the statement was funny. but I do have a weird sense of humor. It was more important for her to loose a sale then say nothing.
If I would have said the reverse she would have cheered.
What does that make her :)

So, what, I wonder, was the deal with the towing capacity. Did you ever find out what it was? I guess at this point you probably don't care, but that's really odd to just have the conversation change to something else. Unless she was doing her best Hillary Clinton imitation. :)

I don't have a truck, but I want one, so towing capacity is something I'm always interested in. Not necessarily if the seats are cool.

I was in a dealer once where the finance person was a woman and she was not professionally dressed at all. Lower cut blouse and she was older so not that great of a combination. She should have known better, and I guess no one told her differently, either. I was just there trying to wrap up a deal on a car, not trying to get to know her better. :)

I don't know what it was. never got the answer. That is the most important thing to me. Also if the mirrors extend out.

Had the same problem as you did but at the VA. I was checking in and the girl put her finger up as she continued playing candy crush on her phone. But she also had a tattoo on her boob. (gang tattoo)
I hit the roof with that one. They called supervisor and when I said break out the dress policy and she was the only one not in compliance. Along with a couple intelligent policy question The tune from them changed. They moved her somewhere else.
I can shift gears real quick quick and discuss policies and procedures or the lack of compliance in them. What other problems are going on here. LOL

Like I said, I've never bought a truck, but I have looked at some, and I was surprised both times that I talked to someone at the dealer about it that they had no idea. I think the towing capacity and the overall load capacity are pretty important. Both times, though, they offered to go find out. I couldn't afford either truck either time, so I told them it was okay. I generally try to look that kind of thing up before I go, but it depends a lot on the tow package and what other things the truck might have, and then what class of the truck it is. It can be a headache. They generally give you a range so you never know where you're at.

I can just imagine how it felt to be told to wait when the girl was on her phone playing a game. On top of that, having issues with the dress policy must have been the last straw. It's really sad that they can't enforce, or choose not to enforce their own policies. They are there for a reason, and professionalism is one of them.

To raise your finger and dismiss someone because candy crush was more important as if I just bothered you in doing your job. Its not like I have a choice where to go. I am forced to go there and I'll be damned if your going to treat me like a POS.

I can't for the life of me understand why people want government health care.

Because it's sold as free, and free is better than paying what can be a lot of money, depending on the circumstance. But then, the free health care doesn't end up being free for a lot of people, either, so they're not only stuck with health care that isn't better than what they might have had with private insurance, but they get to pay for it, too.

I'd also say that there are plenty of people who don't want it, either, don't want it ran by the government, or to pay for it with their tax dollars. It's too bad that other than a Constitutional Convention or a coup of some kind that we can't just make the Congress and President live by the same laws they want us to abide by, which would include health care. It will never happen that way, but it wouldn't take long for them to change it back if it did, and they'd probably come up with something better for Vets, too.

Medicare would work out fine for vets. They just need to keep control. The government programs they have the easier it is to get donations from them.

People could make a change by their vote but the BS is easier to believe and to just go along

The States need to do their job and stop pawning off to the feds their responsibility

I guess it is the States pawning off things, isn't it? It used to be that the states were trying to do things and the federal government would come in and say we want it done this way, and maybe we'll give you money for it but probably not. It took away the states' autonomy when they took the money. Now, you're saying, the states have become so dependent on the federal government that they don't want to go back to the way it was and they like to have whatever federal government funding coming in. Redistribution of wealth.

Voting is the way we're supposed to change things. The problem is, while the votes for Senator and Congressional leaders are held state by state, money is allowed to flow in from anywhere and prop up one candidate over another. We meddle in our country's elections state by state. So, to keep people happy back home, the Senator or Congressperson makes sure to bring federal money in the form of grants or work projects back to their states, so the locals aren't so keen to get rid of them, especially if they've been around for a while and end up on a powerful committee as a chair or something. It's just entrenched bureaucracy at its finest.

They should roll all the programs into one, instead of creating one right after another. There's way too many programs and not all of them get utilized in many cases, and if they do, money gets wasted. Health care, as you said, shouldn't be in the hands of the government, and if they want to do right by Vets, then they need to provide the best care possible.

The States took the money and are obligated because of it. If they refuse the money the can make there own rules. It would be hard in the beginning. Bit it would take some of this power from the feds.

We agree on most of the things.
People need to look a little closer at who they vote for instead of going with the crowd.

haha! Wolf gets kicked out of the truck and Glen wants to know what the towing capacity is!!lol.
that just strikes me as funny. Glen you the best.

Did Wolf get kicked out of the truck, or did he merely take control of the situation? That's what I read. :)

It strikes me as odd that the woman would change the subject. It means to me that she did know the towing capacity and thought it was too low for Wolf to want it. Otherwise, you say, "I don't know. I'll find out for you." You don't start talking about air cooled seats.

I'm glad you thought it was funny, though. Sometimes it just happens. :)

haha! sometimes you accidently are funny? I thought that she kicked him out of the truck because he said he had to walk back to the dealer which was crazy!
that is indeed very strange that she changed the subject if she seemed very knowledgeable, unless she didn't want to admit that she didn't know.

This is funny. Thanks for the laugh. :)

it was funny. and she was made. I didn't have skin in the game so I really didn't care

Haha I love that man. Too good had me busting up.
