RE: Going from 'I can't' to 'Hell yeah, I can' (#ulog)
Sounds like some good work experience, and very empowering. Have you never had a paid job before? If so, it's fascinating that the first money you earned was on Steemit. What a generation!
First jobs can be pretty intimidating, and first days at any job can be so stressful. It helps a lot when the people are friendly, but never let it hold you back if they're not. Just say you're going to do the best you can according to your own standards, and eventually people will notice. Then, ask for a raise.
As a kid, you keep waiting to grow up, you think it'll be like magic, one day, you'll turn into this smashing, cocky grown-up. But it's really a gradual thing.
Hah! I still feel like an awkward 16 year old kid most of the time, trying to fit in and please the people around me. Sometimes I see my reflection in the window and think who's that old bastard? I need to act more like him.
Well, no, I worked as a babysitter/English teacher last year, but it was all very laid back, very different from this. So, that's where I earned my first pay, but the first "big" money I made was here, on Steemit, yeah. It's crazy.
Haha I'll try!
What's wrong with the awkward kid? :P You shouldn't try to please others, but other than that, I vote for the kid ;)
