ULOG: My First Feel of @Surpassinggoogle's Ulog.org | The Eagles' Summit Experience
It is a marveling thing that in about a month, #Ulogs which started as a mere concept of showing humanity to steemians by @Surpassinggoogle has turned into an amazing look with the latest launch of ULOG.ORG
While I had a peruse of the site earlier today, I decided to make my first Ulog on that platform. My observations about the site will come in a later post.
THE EAGLES' SUMMIT is organized by the Banner Bearers of Christian Fellowship Evang. Inc., Ibiaku Itam Area, Itu Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
It is a wonderful privilegde to be a part of the planning crew and a participant of the Eagles' Summit 2018 holding in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Southern Nigeria.
The Eagle Summit is a Multi-dimensional and non-denominational summit for young minds where the life of an eagle is shared via studies, messages, lectures and workshops to spur the minds of the attendees to take challenge and aim high.
This year's edition was tagged "My Youth is Renewed like the Eagle's (Psalm 103: 5).
According to the Lead organizer, Brother Elijah Ekarika, the idea behind Eagle's summit is to discover, raise, empower and launch young people into their God-designed purposes and destinies where peace, joy and value are realities.
The summit was necessitated as we live in a society where dreams and destinies are dashed because of obscure location, ignorance and lack of empowerment. To these victims, the future seems to be a mirage that will never be felt or touched.
This 3-day meeting which started yesterday promises to restore our hope in God Who created the eagle and has severally metaphor the Eagle as an object of virtue, strength, valour and separation.
Brother Elijah in his opening address had this to say:
In this year’s summit, it is in God’s plan to fix your mentality and align your focus to the ideals, strength, vision-power and survival-strategies of an eagle, even in these uncommon days. Do you intend to fly high and soar like the eagle? Then, don't miss out of what God is doing in this place.
MY LESSONS SO FAR
How to Conserve Strength and Channel it for Productivity
As strength can be dissipated or channelled into something unproductive, nothing will be too much to do in order to conserve it for the purpose of having a productive life. The Bible says that, “there is a way that seemeth right to a man but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov14:12 KJV). There must therefore be a conscious effort to watch out f or those things that will likely tear down your strength and avoid them. The following could be of help:
- Be on the Lord’s side. (Exo. 32: 26; Josh 24: 14-15)
- Fear God and depart from iniquity. (2 Tim 2: 16-19)
- Obey the word of God. (James 1: 22-25)
- Flee youthful lust and abstain from all appearance of evil. (2 Tim 2: 22; 1 Thess 5: 22; Gen 39: 7-12; Prov 4: 23)
- Submit yourself for discipleship. (1 Kgs 19: 19-21)
- Avoid doing anything that will end up wasting your God-given Strength. (Jgs 14: 1; 16: 1, 15-20
