Privacy Policy

Ulogs is as an open-source project as seen on our GitHub repository. It only has a front-end, meaning that it doesn't have a database that holds users' information.

Our services are provided at no cost and are intended for use as is.

Our privacy policy informs visitors of our policies in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of 'personal information', so that they can make informed decisions when using our interface.

Utilization of our services implies that you accept and adhere to all our terms and conditions. This privacy policy only applies to our project. Our project thus, would not be held accountable on account of the content/privacy practices of any third-party service/provider not directly operated by us or that links to our platform and vice versa.

It is advisable to read the privacy policies of third-party services tied to our project. 

Information Collection & Use

To offer great user-experience, we may require you to provide us with a certain level of user-information. This information is used to avail you access to our platform. Where we require such information, the information you provide will be retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique-identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

Currently, our interface doesn't store cookies on your browser. Where this changes, we will update our privacy policy accordingly.

Service Providers

We want to inform you that we pull user-information e.g user-profiles, user-data etc directly from the steem blockchain. 

When it comes to more private information such as passwords etc this handled by a third-party service called Steemconnect.

These third-party services maintain their own privacy policies. In general, they do not store user-login information, to ensure the security of user-accounts.

Security

We cherish your confidence in using our interface. To this effect, we will make sure to do what we can by virtue of our interface, to inform you on best practices, when it comes to logging in to our website. We will also keep abreast with third-parties affiliated to our site, make users' security their priority.

Recall however, that no method of interaction over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security on behalf of the entire internet.

Links to Other Sites

Where our interface contains links to other websites, these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites as we have no control over and will not be held accountable on account of the content, privacy policies or practices managed by these external or third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

We don't handle the creation of new sign-ups currently as this service is rendered by Steemit INC. In line with the privacy policy of Steem, around which our platform is built, we  anyone under the age of 13.

Our Privacy Policy is subject to changes. It is advised to review this page periodically for possible changes. We will seek to notify you of any changes by updating this document.
