#ULOG 6 - VISITING FISH FARM - LEARNING HOW TO GROW MILKFISH- AWESOME EXPERIENCED

in #ulog6 years ago (edited)

Hello steemians all over the world!

Previously I posted our visit of the huge farm in Bukidnon. This time the same friend of ours early Wednesday morning called us and invited us to see his fish farm in El Salvador Misamis Oriental. I’m was so excited because it was all something new to me since I moved here in Mindanao. Aside from enjoying the view and place being with a business person I will learn a lot of things from planning to earning money .

Before we went to his farm, he showed us his warehouse and got all the things we needed for the experiment for crab breeding.

These empty plastic gallons containers were loaded onto his pick up car and we drove 30 minutes to El Salvador, Philippines. When we arrived the place I was mesmerized by the farm view. It was surrounded by the view of the beach and mangrove trees. Perfect! It was high tide when we arrived. I saw how clear the water was despite of the dry leaves and some garbage floating.

The fish pond is already existing in the area but the owner just made it deeper for faster growing of the fish and crabs.

So now, let me share with you guys what ive learned at the fish farm. I was more encouraged to post this by @kunani.

These are the larvae’s of milkfish inside the basin. According to Tata (one of the trusted workers) that they will stay here for about two weeks before putting them into the fish pond. Inside the basin are 4,000 tiny milkfish. Once they grow big enough to eat fish food they Will be moved to the large pond.

Once the fish are even bigger and eat well they will be ready forthe last stage which is the fish cage in the ocean about 13 meters deep.

The view from a far distance are the fish cages of milkfish until it they will be harvested.

Sorry I was unable to go to the fish cage as I wanted because I didn’t have extra clothes. Honestly I was not expecting this awesome view of the fish cages in the ocean. Maybe next time I can show you more when they harvest.

This private beach here is so quite and part of the milkfish farm. I will surely be back here with our tent and snorkeling gear to enjoy the water for free!

I encourage everyone to please continue to support the initiative of Sir Terry a.k.a @surpassinggoogle. Vote him as witness in here...
