I'm a little confused about what a ulog is all about. From what I understand, we just share our day with our fellow Steemians, showing a closer look at our life. However, when I looked through the trending #ulog posts, it seems that the tag is used for many different subjects. So I'm just going to wing it, and share the day I had yesterday, as it is 5:30 AM, a little too early to make a ulog for today.
Ah, normal life again. No surprise UA tests, no interrogations, no stress. Well, maybe a little, since I still don't know what's going on or why the State has disappeared out of our lives... Anyway, to start the day yesterday, I spent a little bit of time waking up, then I showered and ran a few errands. I ran into someone I didn't recognize at all who said, "Hi Sharee!" Does that kind of thing ever happen to you? I needed to get out of that situation quickly, as I didn't want him to find out I didn't remember who he was, and offend him. So I made it short and sweet, and went on my way. I bought a bunch of groceries, and because of the thunderstorms the night before, the communication lines were acting up when I tried to swipe my card to pay. I tried 4 times on one register, then they suspended my order, and we tried again on a different register. After 3 more tries, my card went through. I'm so glad I didn't have to go home without our groceries!!
After I got home, I put my groceries away, got into some comfy clothes, did the girl's hair, and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. Nothing really remarkable about that. My 3 year old was being kind of fussy, so after the house was in a suitable state, I read some books to her, including Goodnight Moon, 5 Jumping Dinosaurs, and a counting book! We have some work to do, as she counts 1....2....then jumps up to 11!! After this we colored together and Naomi jumped in too. This is not the best picture of me haha, but the girls are looking pretty cute!
When it got to be late afternoon, I made a baked rigatoni casserole with bread sticks. It was kind of a lazy recipe, 1 lb of cooked and seasoned ground beef, 2 jars of spaghetti sauce, and a 16 oz. box of rigatoni, cooked. Mix it up, put it in a pan, top with mozzarella and bake! It was yummy though and everyone loved it! Here's a picture of the finished casserole:
After this I brought my mother-in-law some things we had that belonged to her, and I picked up some things that we left at her house from last time we visited. Then I went to my step-mom-in-law's to grab something she wanted to give me. It's hard going there because she always wants me to sit down, have a couple beers, and talk to her. I tried to leave several times, as I told Jared I wouldn't be long, but he wasn't mad that I took a long time. I apologized and everything was good. Some of her grandkids are visiting her later this month for 10 days, and we will probably get those kids and our kids together for a big playdate. It should be fun!
Finally, my husband and I recently watched a movie that we thought would be good for the kids to watch. It's called Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
I made popcorn and nachos, and gathered everyone around last night, truly thinking it would hold their interest. To my surprise, the only person who really liked the movie was Javin, my 10 year old son! No one else would pay attention. My 8 year old thought it was too scary, and my 5 year old said it was weird and dumb. The girls were wild and rambunctious, and they wouldn't sit still. I'm really glad my son loved it though. There was one part we had to skip over, but it is for the most part family friendly. I recommend this movie to any sci-fi fan!! Adults and children alike.
After the movie I got a whopping 3 hours of sleep, and woke up to coffee and Steemit, which brings me to now!
Hope you have a great day today, and I hope you liked my first ulog! Well, I'm off! I have an appointment this morning and another busy day ahead of me! As long as no social workers or detectives or strangers who watch me pee darken my doorstep, we'll be happy as clams!! Take care everyone! 😍😎
Lol I was wondering the exact same thing, what is the ulog tag about? I see many different things too.. so still no clue.. but your day blog seems to be fitting the U-log word.. makes sense hehe. Thanks for sharing your day :)
I should, maybe if I find the time.. we get a friend over tomorrow for a few days .. so I am trying to prepare some posts for the next days.. so I'll have some more time off.. will write it down.. not making any promises because did not find the time to make the 7day positivity challenge either hehe
Yes that's a good one hehe.. I already know for three of the next days what to post.. one of them is almost finished. will post that in the morning.. the other one probably thursday.. and then I hope to finish at least one more before she arrives tomorrow.. because the curating stuff is an on-going thing, at least that way I don't have to worry about writing stuff hehe.. everything still ok there?? :)
Everything is pretty good here. I'm looking into some alternative treatments for Jared, and there is hope on the horizon. Thanks for asking busy lady ;) and have fun with your friend! ❤

I watched Valerian a few weeks ago and absolutely Loved it!! I was wondering also about that tag. Glad it's not just me that was a bit confused on it..lol!! Awesome first official ulog post @snowpea!! ❤
It might be better for me to do just a once a week log instead of daily. While I love the idea of a daily ulog, my daily life is so boring, I might fall asleep while documenting it. LOL
Wow.. that's funny really. Lol. Anyways i also understand your point. I also feel it is more of a female thing. Ulog is like keeping a diary; and that's more like a female thing too! Lol.

Yes, the coats just hang there, even in the summer haha. If I were to box them up, I would have to turn right back around to get them out again, as our summers are too short haha! :) You're one of my favorite Steemians and I'll miss you! Looking forward to your return.

I was also searching for the definition of 'ulog' and so came on yours. I think I got it now
