Ulog 3 ' Riding on a Kalesa'
Have you ever been tried riding on a Kalesa?
Kalesa also known as a horse-drawn calash here in Philippines. It's my first time to ride on it, you are going to pay P100.00 as a fare. Coachman (driver of the calash) said the maximum passengers are 10 people. You are going to go around the capitol maybe 2 kilometers. Since we are five people each of us paid 20 pesos, not bad. It's enjoyable! At first I'm scared because two horses act violent. And the coachman is only 12 years old. But he is skilled in driving horse.
By the way, my father and grand father were also a coachman before, according to their experience. In their generation, there are only few vehicles, and the main transportation in our Barangay is Kalesa. My father is expert in driving Kalesa.
I interviewed him. Haha
- How to drive a Calash?
-you are going to say hey! If yoi want the horse to start in walking. Ho! If you want to stop. - What if you want to turn right?
-you need to pull the rope in right side - how much is the fare?
-20 cents
Hehe. Yeah That's all for today!
