Tarot of the Week #19 (Yearly Spread Death Card Result)

At the end of 2018, while Mr. Dreamtree was "homeless" in Sedona, AR, he did a Tarot Spread to predict the coming events of the year like he does at the end of every year. The circumstances of this Tarot Reading are unique, as it was raining outside and he had to lay the cards out on his sleeping bag under the tarp he was using for a tent. The cards are laid out, from left to right, starting with January. The Death Card he laid out for the month of July was a tad worrisome, considering he does follow independent news reporters who were predicting massive flooding nationwide, which could lead to economic collapse. At the time, Dreamtree assumed that the Death Card might of been reflecting said events. I am happy to report that interpretation was dead wrong. Thank Bacchus, times TEN!

Instead, what this card is reflecting is his sudden decision to stop drinking. He was sort of forced into this decision, as it is his responsibility to pay for the internet while he stays home with mum. Had he continued drinking, the cost of supporting a $5 a day habit with no income would of resulted in the inability to have internet. So yeah, he threw the bottle out for good. Death to drinking! The old tree dies to allow a place for the seed of the new tree to grow. This will transition him into a brighter future, no doubt.

With one day of withdrawals past, the rest of the recovery process should be a snap. Now, he has the inverted Hermit Card, The Star, and the 4 of Wands to look forward to... with the 4 of Wands reflecting that his actions will manifest the safety and comfort one would associate with having a home of their own.
