Ulog: A food trip date
It's pay day Friday and me and my boyfriend agreed to visit a place I told him about. A certain street that has a lot of food choices to choose from near my work place. So he decide to fetch me today from work and headed there afterwards.
We walked around and checked each store, some sells a variety of peanuts some have siomai and lumpiang shanghai and even some pre-cut fruits in small plastic bags. You can find almost everything there.
We are the kind of couple who knows what we crave for but upon checking on various food choices I never seen him so focused yet confused, he does not know what to try first. He is torn between the pancit bato, sisig, burgers, spaghetti, pancit palabok, kakanins and the sausages.
After going back and forth he decided to have this.
So the love for sisig won. :)
Then after the sisig meal. We went and tasted the pancit bato that originated from my home province that he likes too. Just sprinkle it with vinegar and you are ready to dig in.
Next we went in to check out this burger place where they make their own patty. Smells nice. We ordered the 1/3 pounder with cheese.
We needed to have a take out since they don't have a table for dine in customers.
Then we spotted this neat looking store and decided to check it out. Turn out it's a coffee place and it's quite nice.
Nice ambiance.
It's a small place but seems you are inside a legit coffee shop. Their prices is not bad as well.
I ordered a coffee based frappe , dark mocha. Seems delish. And upon tasting it, I can't believe I liked it better than Starbucks. Suck a rich flavor but not too sweet.
As we sip through this heavenly frappe and eat our steaming burgers we just talked about how he wants to be back here and try the other food we were not able to try today.
As seen in the counter, customers leave random notes on a post it and reading them can be fun too. These are ours. :)
These are our happy faces. :D
We had a very good time and full belly when we went home.
A productive and busy work schedule topped with this simple yet relaxing date made my week seems lighter.
