Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is still being hit by aftershocks that still haunt its people. Along with the earthquake that struck, the Indonesian MPR Chair Zulkifli Hasan directly observed the location and victims of the earthquake.

Zulkifli left for Lombok on Monday (08/27/2018) morning from Jakarta. Through this visit he and his entourage reviewed victims, locations affected by the earthquake, as well as victim assistance services and facilities after the earthquake.

"Here, the immediate thing to overcome is the problem of trauma. I think now everyone (Lombok residents) does not want anyone in the building or at home. The hospital has moved the service down, even though PU technically said it could be inside, safe , but people are traumatized, people don't want to, this is a situation that is not easy, "Zulkifli said.

Zulkifli arrived at Lombok International Airport at 09:15 WITA. Accompanied by MPR Secretary General Maruf Cahyono, PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno, and Indonesian Parliament member Alimin Abdullah, Zulkifli was welcomed by NTB Deputy Governor Muhammad Amin, NTB Secretary Rosiadi Sayuti, NTB Governor elected Zulkieflimansyah, PAN DPB Chairperson NTB Muazzim Akbar, and other officials.

From the airport, Zulkifli and his entourage immediately visited victims at the Mataram Regional General Hospital (RSUD). He saw first hand the condition of the victims and patients who were treated in tents in the parking lot of Mataram City Hospital.

Zulkifli revealed that he had deliberately visited Lombok to ensure that the victims got proper services. He hopes that medical personnel can still be maximal to provide services, even though they are still full of limitations.

"All stakeholders, the TNI, we were together with Pak Kasad, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) also the community so that together we can cope with the disaster that happened to our brothers and sisters in Lombok, also don't forget on Sumbawa," he explained.

Zulkifli said that currently entering the transition period of recovery (recovery). According to him, what is also important to do is to fulfill water needs, renovate houses and schools that are damaged / collapsed.

"I apresisasi what has been done, but of course need to be continuous. Not only the Mayor who works, but also from the center, from the province, of all," he said.
