ULOG: #5 For Week 15 - Simple Pleasures For Me and My Mother

Today was one of my good days. I woke up not so early so I felt relaxed. I wanted to pamper myself today. So I had my hair dyed, at home. My helper knows how to do it. I usually by the dye and use it at home. Saves me some money. I noticed a lot of short white hair meaning the hair that is growing is white haha. We sometimes have to be a little vain.

I had it done before lunch time. So after lunch my manicurist came. I had my manicure and pedicure. My mom was not in the mood. It feels good to pamper yourself once in a while because when you look good, you feel good.

After a while my cousin sent some ice cream and mongo ensymada from a well known bakery. The reason why heheh secret..... Ensaymada is a bread roll with filling of sweetened mashed mongo beans.
It has been a while since we had ice cream so it was a treat for my mom and me.

You can see the smile on my mom's face. The elderly loves to eat ice cream but I don't let her eat it often, we both have elevated sugar levels. But since mine has been good (low) I decided to eat some too.

We enjoyed our snack together which is sometimes rare because of my mom's Alzheimer. Her good mood does not last that long so I try to make the most of it. I told her to walk around the balcony instead of lying down which is not good after a full stomach. I am glad she listened.

I got another happy surprise.Last Aug. 18 I attended a Golden Wedding Anniversary and I forgot my pocket WiFi. When my helper went back the waiter said he gave to someone in the family. They said they would return. But I think they forgot because it had been 4 days no notice. So I posted it on Facebook last night and someone who was also there read it. She thought they returned it. SO She messaged them and they said they had it and will send it here tomorrow (well today now).

Yehey I finally got it back a while ago, She messaged me that she sent someone to get it and will bring it to me. It is not expensive but it is the sentimental value, my daughter gave it to me before she left. She knew I wanted one hehehe. Even thou it is not new but it was hers is my attachment to it.

I am thankful the waiters were honest and that the relatives of the wedding celebrants knew me.

So my day was complete and an over-all good day. No stress and worries. I am thankful for the simple pleasures in life.

Ok now I am stressing haha I might have to post this without the other pictures or banners. They are not uploading?? I'll just edit later. I hope I can post this.
