ULOG: #3 - week 28 - Chrismas Is Late In My House This Year
I usually have my Christmas decorations and the tree up end of Nov or the first week of Dec. I would have also made my fruitcake or my first batch by now.
Because of my mom's hospitalization things were put on hold. We did get discharged 3rd week of Nov. but finances were low. Also we have a scaffolding in the middle of the living room because of a leaking ceiling. My brothers had repaired the whole roof but something went wrong because when it rained hard, it poured again but in a different area. It took a long time until we found the cause. I took down the scaffolding because it was my mother's birthday yesterday.
Finally the architect in charge said he will come tomorrow with another carpenter to close the ceiling and paint it. Then maybe this week-end or Sunday we will put up the Christmas tree, even just the tree. Maybe I will put up the Belen or Nativity set too but it is lacking some figurines, I need to buy a new one soon.
This was my tree last year. I will just put the same one up again. Just fill with more ornaments. But I know there will be less gifts. But as long as we are all together, my mom and companions, then I will be happy.
