ULOG #1: A Siksik-Liglig-Umaapaw ( Dense, Shaken and Overflowing) Day! | Fri, 11 May 2018

This is my First ULog and I hope it's not too late! 😊 I just really waited for the best of the bests! 😊

Well, today (rather yesterday as it is already 12th May), is the Third SteemPH UAE Meet & Greet that was held in Dubai. There were 17 attendees from 3 different Emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Thank you for taking out time and effort to travel and meet us!

Breakfast!

We are from Abu Dhabi about 2 hours travel to the meeting place. Me and my husband left the house and stopped in Food Valley Refreshment to have our favorite Indian Breakfast; Masala Dosa

It's my very lucky day! Claimed!!! My last bite surprised me that made me cry! I am literally enjoying every bite and all of a sudden I bitten a strong Dried Chilly!!! I really don't know what to do, thanks to the crew who gave everything that can help me ease the fire in my mouth!

Well, that's how my day out started! 😝

Dubai here we come!

We rented a car and @appleskie picked us up at 11:00 AM then passed to @essan-san and Tina's house. We contacted @arrliinn to check where we'll meet and both decided to meet at last ADNOC in Abu Dhabi.

Mistakenly, we stopped at the 2nd to the last ADNOC. We used washroom (as I finished almost a bottle of water earlier when my mouth was on fire!) and grabbed biscuit just to munch while we're on the road. Oahh by the way, that biscuit was so expensive! USD 11.50 for only 200g, well... on their ad, the plastic was full for only USD 11.50... t'was too late, we're not able to return the biscuit as the plastic they gave was only 1/4 full! Hehehe! 🤣🤣🤣 We were scammed! 🤣🤣🤣

Then we headed to the last ADNOC and met @arrliinn and the fambam! In just few minutes, we started our journey to Dubai. We crossed the border pass 12 noon.

As we are not a Dubai people, "google map" and "waze" helped us! But wait, we got lost too!! 🤣 We were following @arrliinn but she missed the exit and we have to stop at one train station to check and reroute. We were just 11 minutes away to our destination while early birds from Dubai and Sharjah were already waiting for us. "Hold on peeps, we're just few tumbling away!"

When we arrived, @iamdeth, @cheche016, @kendallron, @sherylneil and @mr-neil happily greeted us!

In no time @lhyn and @donaldd arrived, followed by @iluyyy and Peter.

As it was already almost 2pm, we decided to have lunch first as everyone are already starving.

After lunch, we had our first part of discussion.

Basically, it became a sort of reunion too as most of us are friends who were working in the same company before and it's nice to meet them again after so long.

It only proves that we're not just connected because of work. Somehow, we really touched each other's heart and the friendships we have are beyond our working place. Glad to meet and have these wonderful people in my life!😍

We wrapped the event with tight hug and we all know that another success story was made!

There's more, The Team Gala Escapade!

You thought twas over?! Ohh dear, you're definitely wrong! Adrenaline rush, still full pack to have some Splash!

So we hit the road to Abu Dhabi at past 6 pm. @appleskie booked 5 Kabayan Fiesta, Yas Waterworld tickets in advance to avoid long queque as it's on Special Promo.

We arrived at 07:30 PM and started the fun! We enjoyed the water activities, just perfect to cool down our tiring long travel. The best part was, laughter and giggles were shared with friends! 😍

Yas Waterworld is 40 minutes drive to city so we left at 10:30 PM thinking of having dinner or perhaps midnight snack at Pizza Hut with another friend @robbyc who will join us. But unfortunately, parking was terrible and twas already 12 midnight yet we can't still find parking.

We've decided to just wrap the day, go home and have some rest. @appleskie dropped each one of us in our place and poor darling, she got parking at her place around 2 AM. 😌

Fun Filled Day!

Twas indeed tiring but fun-filled day! Effort of traveling 4 hours just to meet other steemians are worth it! As I keep on saying, "it's nice to finally put faces on the usernames!" 😊

Normal expats life is Work-Home-Work but because of Steemit, we get to know and meet new people and extend our horizon. Now, Work-Home-Steemit-Work and so on!😊

Oohh, by the way, me and @prinsepong were really hungry so we bought FOOL! Don't get me wrong, 😂😂😂 it's a food!!

I still don't know what it is made of though it tasted like a ground beef with eggplant. We ate it with "Kubos" - a bread!

Will try to check and ask next time what it is made of, what important was... we were able to fill our almost empty stomach! 😊😊😊
