#Ulog Post: Do Africans have higher tendency to survive depression than the Asians and Other Western World?

The other day, I accompanied a friend of mine to a burial service of a young teenager who just lost her life.
When we got there, it was really sad. The parents and relatives of the young girl are all in sad mood.
After the burial service, I inquired what led to her death and I was told she commited suicide, reason ;- because her boyfriend left her for another girl.
Well, it sounded crazy to me. I was like: so because the boyfriend left her that’s why she ended her precious life?
Well, she might be right in her decision. But in general speaking, shes wrong! She has no right to end a life given to her my God.
There are so many young deaths and even adults that I have seen that should have occurred.
That brings the question: Do Africans have higher tendency to survive depression than the Asians and Other Western World?
As an African man, who was born, bred and raised in Africa. I will say yes to the above question.
Only growing up in African soil will teach you have to survive in any weather you find yourself in.
If you are raised in an African soil, you will agree that only the environment alone will teach you how to deal with depression.
You don’t need to go to any school to learn how to handle depression as an African.
Imagine growing up in an environment where you are faced with a lot of hard life. As a young child, you have started feeding your self and your family. You have been set with a lot of family and personal responsibilities.
Now tell me, how would you have time to think of commiting suicide when you are saddled with a lot of responsibility?
A priest of once said that depression only comes in when we are idle and that’s the truth.
Now, an average African is busy thinking of how to survive and the least on his/her mnd is committing suicide.
Psychologically, Africans tends to have higher immune system which can resist depression and suicidal thoughts.
The have higher shock absorber than any other race.
