Day 16 of Being a Mom
Hey Steemians and Uloggers,
It's been just over 2 weeks now of becoming a parent and mt life has changed dramatically. I know this seems to be the theme of most of my posts right now, but it's kind of a life altering experience. And the biggest challenge im facing now.
My New Boss That's Never Satisfied For Too Long
As the days go by im getting to know my new boss better, and she is pretty hardcore. I always arrogantly scoffed at new parents and couldn't understand why the kid didn't fit into their schedule instead of the other way around. But i have been eating a lot of humble pie of late and completely get the change.
This little madam is always hungry abd is basically sucking me dry. She feeds every 2 to 3 hours which kind if takes its toll your body. It's currently 3:21am and in the past 24 hours i have literally fed her from my own personal supply 6 times and she was still not completely satisfied. I just finished feeding her a formula bottle so I can actually get some sleep. But alas im typing this post instead, go figure!! Im gonna regret it in the morning but I'm a sucker for punishment.
This kid is like a hobbit though. She totes believes in 2nd Breakfast, lunch and supper.
Slowly my eyes are getting heavier, and i should probably sleep before thr boss lady wakes up for breakfast. I also have dome actual work, career wise i need to finish, but i haven't gotten too. So hopefully i make some progress tomorrow!!

Ohhhh the ups and downs of motherhood. Heads up! Its just the start, there is more to come.. but rest assured you will survive it all, all mothers do. The precious little smiles the cuddles and the smell! They are soooooo addictive right??! Mine is already 1 year old but still looooove smelling him even when he just woke up. He seems to love it too because he let me smell him.. hahahahaha..
Dont give up on breastfeeding your baby. Its tough i know, but its all worth it. In fact I am still bfeeding my lo till now. I dont have much supply like the others but mine is just enough for his consumption for the day. I dont get to have stash of milks unless I am away.

Thanks my friend!! Its been a crazy trip so far, but slowly coming to terms with the fact that this is just jow it is right now. My mind needs to adjust to the demands of raising a little human and i just need to embrace it!! Getting there slowly! But also not sure if i will ever get there.
The feeding is getting better, slowly but surely! Its doesn't feel as torturous as it did in the beginning, but its still pretty sore!! The things we do hey!!
Oh myyyy! I can relate to the soreness hahahahaha.. but it will soon fades and your lo will learn the proper latching and it wont hurt anymore.. here's my secret to fast healing of nips sores.. (just go topless and spread a little breastmilk over it and let it airdry)..the next day no more wounds.. hehe

I think the constant use was getting to me!! But its starting to feel a bit better!!! So hopefully everything else does too!!

You're doing great! And even though it seems like you're never gonna sleep again .. LOLOL try to enjoy this time too! Hehehe it goes so quick. Those little moments... You'll look back and tiny clothes and be happy that you endured but also have a strange tug that makes you want to snuggle that teeny tiny baby again and wonder where the time went!

I keep hearing about this rice cereal!! Sounds like the best thing since sliced bread!! Ita getting Better, but each day is different. And when she sleeps she looks like such an angel.
Despite all the chaos i really can't believe how in love with her i am already!!
