#ULOG #6 : My Daily Dose Of Inspiration - David Austin´s Yellow Roses -May 24, 2018
Hi there dear Steemians!
This cover photo above was taken a few minutes ago while it´s still drizzling outside in the garden...I am sharing my daily dose of inspiration to you all which is the rose flowers that are now beginning to open and spread its scent these days in my garden. They make me feel good and have inspired me for my ulog for today!!! I am a flower-freak person and whenever I see any flower, I would often smile and readily I become a different person (Lol !!!).
As I have blogged before, we planted the yellow rosebush when we got a new family member, our rottie named Ako. A rottweiler who lived to be 14 years old....a wonderful dog who was so intelligent, obedient (did not go to dog school), a superdog that was so lovable. In connection with this rose, we named it after him because when we got Ako, we were just planting this in 1994. Til now 24 years after, it is blooming every season that starts early May til Mid-summer.
It is actually a David Austin variety called Graham Thomas, a type of tearose that has a lovely scent. David Austin, the famous rose breeder dedicated this rose in 1983 to the rose collector and garden expert named Graham Thomas, who had wished that various old rose varieties be grown and popularized again in gardens. He was an expert in this field since he collected roses and published books on gardening such as The Rose Book, The Old Shrub Roses , Three Gardens and many more.

I also love yellow roses aside from the red and pink ones...I hope I could one day encounter one to be able to plant it in our backyard...
