ULOG Entry #6: A Pizza for Fathers’ Day
Celebrating Fathers’ Day is an important thing for us, Filipinos. We are known for being very family-oriented. Sundays are supposed to be a family day for everybody. For those who are away from home, they look for a family-figure and enjoy the weekend
My father is known to be so thrifty that he doesn't want to eat out. To make him worry less, we, my sister and I who are working, split the bill to take the family out.
Here's a sneak peek of my siblings and I satisfying ourselves to our favorite icecream flavor.
And ofcourse, the kids love pizza more that they do to their homeworks. It's kind of a treat for them for doing a great job in school over the weekdays.
This is obviously only half of the box left. When you're starving and the cheese is so hard to resist, you wouldn't mind taking photos, would you?
Our youngest cutie is super excited to open the box of the Korean icecream that he begged so much to have. How adorable and irresistible is it to say no to a child like this, yea?
Our boys seem to be enjoying their time together whil licking their icecream.
Afterwards, we headed to the cemetery to visit my grandpa’s grave, and to wish him a Happy Fathers’ Day too. You don't stop being a father even when you're gone. I do remember he was an awesome second dad to me although he died when I was 5. I think I had enough memories of him that I still miss him sometimes.
A day with the entire family is never a dull moment, isn't it. I hope it's the same with everybody.
Lovelots,
MAI💕
