Meet Our Youngest Son, Stryder
Yes, absolutely named after Aragorn, King of Gondor.
He's one of those children that always loves to dress up. Hallowe'en is his favourite holiday and the costumes stay out all year. I can't tell you how many times I've been in the kitchen and I see Stryder come waltzing in with some crazy outfit. Ninja, Spiderman, Zombie...you name it!
A lot of times he makes his own costumes too, with random articles of clothing and things like housecoat belts. If we watch a movie, before it's even over he's already acting out the part of his favourite character. He has a huge imagination, and would rather play in "real life" than any video game, any day.
FLASH in the Apple Trees
I am just so happy that the summer weather is here now, and we're outside all of the time again. The boys just love climbing and playing in all of our trees, we're so lucky to live here with the natural playground that is our backyard.
I like this photo, Kiedis looks super irritated and Stryder looks so...mischievous.
Ready For Flower Madness?
Nova Scotia is Blooming Baby! (And it smells so good...)
Thousands of apple blossoms, this will be the tree I'll use for the fall's Apple Cider Vinegar. Some of the other apple trees are on their off year, so no blossoms on them, but this guy more than makes up for it!
Periwinkle
Not too sure what this is, maybe Lily of the Valley? It's everywhere down by the ocean path!
Dandelion in the late day light.
Beautiful Daffodils
Thanks as always for visiting my blog, I hope seeing FLASH and Flowers brought you some joy! Did you like to dress up as a child? Do you still? Is it a flower frenzy where you live right now too?
I am not sure what the flower is but is not lily of the valley. Were have lots and lots of flowers now that the rains have shown up. And fruit growing on our trees. We have an abundance of mangoes at the moment. When my sons were much younger they enjoyed playing dress-up but I don't remember when it happened, suddenly they were grown with families of their own...
Hello Ceci <3 :) @LanaDancer answered below and said it's Dogwood flowers. <3 <3
That's so great that you have an abundance of mangos, what will you do with them all? Canning?
And wow, yes, what you said about your children, people can't stress it enough, the time goes by fast! It really helps me be aware to enjoy all of the moments...
Mango jam, mango vinegar, mango wine and mango brandy. Plus we'll be eating them fresh in cakes, muffins and as is until we look like mangoes!
Omg please post recipes and pictures of these wondrous things.... I love mangos too and we have them in season down here in Costa Rica....... mango brandy !! 😍
I will try to remember when I make my next batch...
How beautiful. 😍 my daughter dressed up so much as a young girl she was barely ever in normal clothes! Mostly princesses in long flowing dresses and high heels of course🤣 she had a real sharp eye for things in the thrift shops always . Such a character, and thought nothing of walking the streets and greeting people as a princess. Happy days. These flowers are so gorgeous and there are so many varieties. That is not a lily of the valley I don’t think as the flowers form in clusters on them - they were always a favourite of my mums who used to get sent a bunch fresh every year on her wedding anniversary from a family member who had them in the garden, hence I know them 😉 I never saw a white daffodil before that is stunning. The air must smell heavenly as you take a walk through all this blooming narture. Freedom smells of flowers . Blessings to you and the family. ❤️Resteemed
AWwww....what a brilliant child she would have been to hang out with, and what a great Mom you are to have let her be herself everywhere she went!
Someone did identify the flower, it's Dogwood I found out. What beautiful memories you have of lily of the valley...Bless you and your whole family! So much Love <3 <3 xoxo

Omg where do you find this stuff hahaha that was the bestest comic ever hahahhaa!! This frame made me spit out some coffee lolololol
I love Hyperbole and a Half. 😂
I love the pictures of the flowers but the pic of the two boys is priceless! ^^ I loved to dress up as a kid and I took it into adulthood with me. I was able to travel on the road for 5 years with Renaissance Fairs, I learned how to make a full set of costuming, (which also made me appreciate the abundance of clothing we all have now. Clothes were so rare and so expensive for a very long time, and with good reason! It takes FOREVER to make a corset, let alone a men's laced jerkin. :P ) how to speak Olde English and Latin, how to play a character, make up a character to play, write one liners for hawking, and so much more! I worked as a facepainter, juggler, jester, actress (I played a noblewoman, a faerie, and a nun), and sold various items to people. It has helped me tremendously as a mother and in home learning adventures. Never lose that creative spark, Stryder! ^^
It sounds like you have had an incredible life, and what a cool experience! I have never thought about how much would go into hand making clothes, especially dressy stuff...you've opened my eyes! Keep on living life to the fullest, you are an inspiration @spiral.dragon! Great to see you back on STEEM!
Each chapter in all of our lives is rich, I see you as you see me so thank you so much! ^_^ You are an inspiration as well, sister. <3 Sending you love from womban to womban. <3
@lyndsaybowes, Oh wow...Stryder was spider man...He's ready to doing adventure tasks. Flash on apple tree most interesting to see. Kids prefer to wear various and craziest kits :)
