Ulog # 23 (Ulog-quotes # 1) : On Life and It’s Saving Graces

Hi, Steemians! Whaddup? I sincerely hope you’re all well. So, in truth, I’ve been losing steem lately. Luckily, I came across @surpassinggoogle’s post last night about #ulog-quotes. The idea is brilliant, the way most of his ideas are, and it interested me a lot so I thought I’d try it out.

As stated in his post I don't exactly plan to write quotes. My words just turn out quotes when plucked., these words resonated with me because there are times when the captions I make up stick with me even years after I make them.

An example of this is the following, which I choose as my first post about #ulog-quotes. Well, it sounds a bit like a short poem, maybe the rhythmn is what made it stick so stubbornly to my consciousness. That, or maybe the fact that the words I wrote still holds true no matter the changing circumstance.

Life’s a bit hurtful sometimes, isn’t it? And we need something to serve as a balm to the pain, something to shelter us from a metaphorical drenching rain. As for me, in the times when I got lost (in life or in my own thoughts), I find that the following helps, they always have, and hopefully they always will.
