ULOG 06: Broken old wall clock that turned into simple wall display
Hello everyone! I'm here again to make another art made from scrap materials.
I used a broken wall clock to make this art. Yes you read it right, it's made from "clock"
Let's start!
I found this useless wall clock at the back of our house. You might think that the only thing to do for this is to throw it away, but you know me! I don't like to do that. Instead, I will make a way on how to make this scrap into something useful and beautiful
Process
The first thing that I did was, I removed the back part of it using a long nose plier
Then, I trace the glass on the illustration board.
I will put it on the back, that will serve as a plain and clean background
After that, I get a withered plant from my garden, then I trimmed it to remove the excess leaves
Next is I tried to put it inside the frame to test if it will fit or not, so that I can trim it again and make some adjustments.
I'm happy that it fit so well, but I'm still not satisfied with the form of the plant.
So I trimmed it again, and used my skills on gardening, I used a wire to achieve my desired form for the plant, just like what I'm doing on my bonsai.
I need to be really careful on putting the wire because the plant is so brittle, being careless during this process might break the withered plant.
I'm done with the wiring, it's now time to paint!
I've waited for a few minutes to let it dry. Then I put some rocks, to complete my display.
The little circle right there is a cap from little container. It will serve as the moon, because the setting of this art is at night time.
I'm almost done, I just need to put the frame.
Here is the finish product! I hope you like it
Who would think that this is just an old and broken wall clock. I hope you are inspired with this.
You now know the drill! next time you see a scrap material in your house, I'm suggesting you to keep it, don't throw it away. And when you have your free time, try to open your imagination, be creative, and start creating your masterpiece. Don't say that you're not good at arts. "If there's a will, there's a way"
After you've done it, you will be amazed and satisfied with it!
And another thing, this will also be a great way to save and help our mother earth! Reduce• Reuse• Recycle
