ULOG #35 - Appointment at DFA La Union
Rain or shine, we decided to attend our appointment in DFA La Union. Even though some parts are flooded along the way, we still proceeded. Luckily, it wasnt raining when we went to get a ride on the bus and when we were dropped off. We left our town at 9AM and arrive there at 12:15PM. We went to grabbed a lunch at McDonald's before going to DFA office at 1.
My schedule is at 2-3PM and my sister's schedule is at 4-5PM. I gave her money and asked her to roam around the mall but to never leave the building. Upon arriving, those with 2-3 schedule were let in an hour early. The processes were done smoothly. It was done in less than an hour. I didn't expect it to be that smooth.
I went to look for my sister and we just sat in the floor in a part of the mall with little people passing by. There's nowhere to sit around the mall and we were not allowed to loiter near the office. We spent an our waiting until 3PM.
At 3, we got in the office and presented the documents. I had a special power of attorney to be the legal companion of my sister since she's still a minor and our parents both have work so they can't accompany her. We were told that special power of attorney are only for minors with parents outside the country that even if your mom or dad is in Mindanao, as long as their inside the country, they should be the one accompanying their child.
We left kinda sad. We got on the bus and went home. We we arrive at our town, we went to buy tuna pie at Jollibee. Then it started raining. We had to wait until it wasn't so strong and left. While walking home, it started raining harder, we were drenched when we arrive home.
