Ulog #6: Berry Dairy Days
Every year in June, our town holds a strawberry festival. We call it Berry Dairy Days and its a huge tradition here. This valley is the perfect spot to grow strawberries. Our own garden is bursting with them currently. The berries in the cover pic are all from our garden just yesterday!
The weather has been warming up finally and @chackett has been home all week. We've been going non stop in the yard, trying to fight back the weeds that have over taken everything.
I trimmed these shrubs into a natural arbor area and put 2 chairs under it. I need to level the ground under there still, but I really love it!
Yesterday we went to the parade downtown. The kids had a blast watching all the floats go by and catching candy (of course). 🤣
sidenote, wtf steemit? Some pics are sideways now and others are not? Get it together! 🤣
We we walking back home after the parade and this guy on a horse was going the same way. 😍😁
River was getting pretty tired, she decided to chill out in the wagon and relax. That's my girl!
Last night the sunset was just magical! It sprinkled for a bit and then we saw this!! A pink rainbow! The pictures don't do it justice, of course, but it was spectacular!
That's what we've been up to. Just spending time together as a family and working around our little homestead. I'll let @chackett do a post about all our projects in the works. He's whipping this property into shape! 🤣❤
And happy Fathers Day to @chackett! He's a wonderful husband and father. We love you!!!
Time to get the kids up and start the fathers day festivities of jumping on daddy to wake him up. 😊🤣

Small town parades are the best. I used to love the 4th of July when I was a kid because there was a parade, then all day fair at the park, then fireworks at night!
Love the arbor! We've been sitting under our shade trees every morning this week for coffee. For some reason my husband has been "late" to work every morning this week ;-) and can't quite make it to the gym either. So watch out there might be something sedating about arbors!
