AIRLINE TICKETS
We are taking our vacation every 2 years. We personally chose December because we want to spend the most important occasion of the year with our loved ones back home. So yesterday, we decided to check the price online and we were just surprised that the prices are waaayyy toooo expensive.
Just this morning, I asked a help from my sister @marieeugene if she could help us look for plane tickets. She was surprised with all the prices too. I prefer Etihad airways since we will be traveling with a very active toddler on December. we are booking months prior to our scheduled flight so we can save extra money for the tickets and still, the price is still very expensive. To add to our worries, toddler's ticket is the same with adults. Very pricey. Who would want to go home with the expensive tickets? If this happens, our plane tickets cost more thanour pocket money for vacation. This is not good.

Oh my, I can totally relate. We cancelled our trip but still got dinged with cancellation penalties.
Etihad has really good airplanes and service from what I heard but yes, very expensive. Do you have a credit card you use to buy tickets? Sometimes it helps to get a credit card with travel or miles rewards you can convert to your currency.
Did you try playing around with https://www.google.com/flights they have pretty good search for airfares.
Also, if you choose departure dates of Tue or Wed it's cheaper. Oh and try to get a flight that doesn't stop in Manila.

Holidays especially December is really expensive. Maybe you should keep trying? I do not know with Etihad but some airline tickets have promos in a year and not two years. Good luck!
Yes. We take promo tickets everytime we go home. I am just surprised that the price is very expensive even today. A friend of ours got hers for 1500 Dirhams. We are waiting for it. :)
