Greetings, Uloggers and Steemians

Yesterday, my wife and I attended our daughter's school activity at the Episcopal Auditorium of Cumaná. We took my mother with us to get her out of the routine.

It was a nice activity, a sort of human development workshop intended to strengthen the links among family members and help students understand the value of family and school responsibilities.

The auditorium is located in the historical/colonial quater of Cumaná. Years ago, this area was host of the most vibrant bohemian life in our region. Many restaurant, cafés, museums, and other places of interest were blooming in this area.

Even though the area is in disarray, the best evidence of the inefficiency of our government, given the fact that the Governor's House is in this area, there is still this ancient air of colonial gandeur, of the old Cumaná of poets and gentle people.

It was a short walk, given the temperatures and my old lady's faulty feet (she can't feel them and tends to stumble), but i think she enjoyed the view.

Hopefully, we'll have more outings like this one along nice areas in town. Hope you enjoyed the walk.
