Hello everyone, so this is my second week working with World Vision For Education (WVED) Cameroon and today we had a live chat with the other kids from Germany participating in our omgoing global engagement chat program. It was a fun filled day as our German friends gave their comments on the videos we submitted specifically the Dance videos. They told us they really lived it and they asked us questions concerning the videos they received and they children were very happy to answer their friends in Germany. In exchange, we also watched the videos they sent and they kids also asked questions which were alsi answered by the German kids.

Basically, the videos we received were an introductory video, they also gave us a short tour of their school, they also sent us a game they played etc. Their videos were quite cool and we were glad to see the efforts they put in to communicate so fluently in english. Their english was not bad at all and they kids from both sides really had a wonderful time despite the technical fault we had in our equipment this morning. They actually had the opportunity to get to talk about so many things including key topics like education, what life is like in both countries, hobbies, games, family etc. It was a session filled with fun, laughter and craziness if you ask me hahahhaa...

It was a good atmosphere for the kids to know more about each other on a much more personal level and to interact the way they did. Subsequently in the program, these live chats will come up twice every month but within the weeks we will do short videos and exchange so that we keep getting to know more about each other and the kids get to share knowledge, talents, hobbies, games, arts and crafts and many other things with their new friends. Our goal is to help these kids gain a lot and know more about the German people and what life is like in Germany through this engagement chat program.

So in all, it was a good day and i really enjoyed myself a lot. Especially at some of the questions they kids asked and some of the answers they gave. At the end, the kids wished the session would not end but like they say, nothing good lasts forever; it had to come to an end but they appreciated the opportunity given them and they are all eagerly anticipating the next live chat. We are still working on the activity plan of how things will run for the 9 months program but for now we are certain of the live chats that will be conducted twice every month.
