ULOGS: FARM LOOKING NICE AND GREEN- WHERE WE ARE NOW ( HARVEST KNOCKING)
In what ever you do in life, irrespective of the challenges that comes with it. It came to make you better and stronger.
One would think you are just wasting your time when the results are not forth coming, but you keeping at what you are doing, knowing the destination or end result of your project is enough to keep you going.
I have imagined how I want my farm to be. Large expanse of farm land with a farm house in it.
Having varieties of fruits and vegetables and on one end animal husbandry.
That mental picture is getting clearer and is coming into being gradually.
I want to be among those that feed my country Nigeria, even if it is just a fraction of the entire population.
There is nothing more a farmer wants more than a good yield.
The plantain in my farm started fruiting last month and as at today, there are three of them, a banana inclusive
I am so full of joy how everything has turned out, all looking green and luscious.
It pleases me to let you all know that I am going to have a bumper harvest this year.
I can't wait for my first harvest. So excited.
Though we got there and found that the winds fell one of the plantain suckers with fruit. We raised it and supported it with some sticks. Strong winds are not good for plantain/banana suckers especially when they fruit. Because of the weight of the fruits, it easily gets blown down.
I was blown away by how tall the corn grew in just a month and are fruiting already. I am warming up seriously for my harvest. Hahahaha! I hope I don't get to eat it all myself because I love corn. Hmmm!
Actually God caused our eforts not to be in vain, because the rains delayed in coming, but when it started, I knew it was time to relax a little.
The fluted pumpkin have sprouted and are soon to spread all over. This is worth grateful for.
I still, have a lot to do in the farm to make sure I maximise all I can get from this farm. This is a test practice and I think I am going in the right direction.
Thank you steemians for your time and support in this project. I love you all
