#ULOG 888 - Weekly Thoughts - 14 - 19 Jan 20 Homesteading This Week...

Good Morning, Steemians! :D

This is the pretty sky we woke up to on Tuesday morning. :D

It looked like the calves were playing follow the leader, Beauty would run or walk or hop and Spirit would follow behind her doing exactly what Beauty did, it was so cute. :D

I love how the fresh snow sparkles like diamonds when the sunshine hits it. :D Is it just me? :D

Spirit decided she wanted to hang with the adults on Wednesday, but Beauty chilled in the barn with the piglets. :D

Our dapper puppy dad trying to find another one of the pieces of liver I threw out in the snow for our pack. :D

The girls were outside long enough to play with the wheelbarrow and use the barn door for a scratching post on Thursday, but it started snowing again before we finished the chores, so we put the little darlings inside to keep them dry-ish and warm. :D

Our pretty puppy mom loves this time of year, especially as the fresh snow falls, she burrows right down in it. :D

Look, I remembered to include the shot of our meat-lover’s pizza, the one we had on Thursday. :D

We had a lovely sunset Thursday night. :D

We woke up to sunshine on Friday, so I thought it was going to be a nice day. :D I was wrong. :D Oh, my land, it was cold out there, even colder than yesterday, we hit -26 C, with a nice stiff wind to slap you in the face and make your eyes water the second you step outside. :D Thankfully the barn didn’t take too long to clean because the herd had to stay out while we cleaned. :D I’m grateful that they all wanted to get back into the barn once the door was open, I just wish some of them hadn’t tried to come in the door together, it caused a bit of a blockage, LOL. :D I don’t blame them though, I didn’t want to be outside either, LOL. :D

These crazy crows came by for a visit during the storm yesterday, so I figured they deserved a picture. :D I almost got blown off the deck while I took it too, the wind was brutal, I don’t know how they’re managing to stay on the tree to be honest. :D I guess they enjoyed their visit because they were back again this afternoon. :D
