Ulog Diary #38: I Think I Just Got Tricked

in #ulog6 years ago

A sudden trip to the countryside was not influenced by a desire for travel and some sightseeing but was caused by the need to meet my daughter's pediatrician. My daughter has been suffering from a gastroenteritis the past 2 days. The I-thought-she-has finally recovered episode happened but was easily dismissed because only a few hours after that, the vomiting and diarrhea occured again.

So my partner and I took a day off and finally decided to take her to her doctor to be certain of the situation and hope to find a cure to put our baby's uneasiness to an end. You can never be too confident with babies these days. Only problem though is our doctor doesn't have clinic at the usual hospital where we take our daughter but rather on her home clinic. Yep. At the countryside.

We drove early to her doctor's home clinic and I must say that the drive has a been a pleasant one? Why?It was partly because I was able to see some sun (finally) after a week of rain and flooding and partly because the greens and mountains are always a welcoming sight.**

The neighborhood of our doctor's house was a beauty; on a hill with lots of trees and flowers in each of their property. I was able to take some snaps in the area whilst waiting for our doctor (who got late because of a ceasarian section she had to be with).

When her doctor arrived and checked our daughter, she was surprised to find her very active and asked if she really was sick. We discussed the situation with her and we were asked to do some laboratory tests and take medications. Her doctor said it might just be because of the teething.

So off we went to the laboratory clinic nearby and waited to take some specimen from our daughter. Since the waiting for the specimen was starting to take a while, we decided to have lunch first and do the tests after. 3 hours past and yet no specimen can still be taken from our daughter. There was even no vomiting from her despite feeding and eating some food. Hmmm. She was (surprisingly) very active as well; playing and jumping for joy at the site of Jollibee and dancing to her favorite music Boom Boom. We waited some more for a while but after another hour two, we finally decided to go home. Our daughter was still very active upon reaching home that we finally decided that maybe we just got tricked by her because she just wanted to have a long drive (she kinda got used to it since she was less than a month).

Well, if getting tricked would mean I'd find my daughter in a better mood and a healthy condition, I'd be happy to get tricked anytime :)
