Ulog #8 - Second Coastal Clean - up This Year
A clean day to all, this is how I greet everybody because I was already awaked at 3:00 A. M. for the scheduled Coastal Clean-up. I was supposed to leave home at 5:00 A. M. but I woke up earlier and no longer went back to sleep, afraid to be tardy of the assembly time at 5:30 A. M.
I was one of the early birds so we had our group pictures. We made this introduction of happy faces because we knew that the time we went down to that muddy magrooves we need to motivate ourselves that we were having an easy task.
We went down picking up garbages, our target is to pick plastics. If you remember, I had my previous blog with our first coastal clean-up a month ago, this time the same area we are assigned to, again we got sacks of plastic garbages.
That is why I have a question in mind, "Do signages on the street about cleanliness never touch people whom until now are throwing garbages anywhere?" My favorite signage I saw is,
Cleanliness starts in me.
Everytime I saw garbages even the smallest wrapper of a candy, I am aware that I am accountable to pick it and drop to garbage bins not just leaving it.
Hoping that through this blog, people may be motivated to do segregation and proper disposal of garbages. Anticipating that on the next coastal clean - up no more garbages may be found, and the allocated two hours for this group of people will be utilized in finding shellfish or may be swimming.

Excellent initiative, in my case, in my city together with other colleagues, we bring clothes, food, people of extreme poverty, street situation, children notebooks pencils among others ... and thinking about making a foundation without purposes of profit, with the sole purpose of helping people. Venezuela is going through critical moments ... and it is not too much to lend a hand to those who need it ...! Congratulations thousands of successes, continue like this!

This is definitely a great cause.
Most fellow kababayans have already improved. We just need to further discipline ourselves for the zero-waste management programs of the government. Let's abide with segregation of our trash. Biodegradable to non biodegradable and recyclable to non recyclable.

Yes, improvement is already there especially in the segregation. Yet there are some especially those people squatting near the shoreline, they still need to be motivated, hopefully they may change in seeing us, this is our second time cleaning on the same assigned area.
