Teachers on Their Coastal Clean-up Operation at Mactan Shrine Coast

Beautiful day friends! Today's activity is on Coastal Clean-up at Mactan Shrine Coast. I woke up very early at around 4:30 a.m. But haven't slept well actually, the thunderstorm was so scary that I need to cover all the mirrors due to strong flashes of lightning. And my little Fabio was also scared (hmmp.. like mother like son) that his little shadow frightens me more. Every time I'll go out to check stuff, oh my, he's also around! So I slept late, (very late at around 2:00 or more I guess) because I need to attend first to this little human besides me.

Waaahhh! Time runs so fast, felt like... really? I just closed my eyes and it's almost 5:00 o'clock! As much as I wanted to sleep back, yet I need to be on time for the Coastal Clean-up at Mactan Shrine. You see assembly time is at 5:30 to 6:00 a.m. To be late even for 1 minute is a big no! no! I tell you, the timekeeper is scarier than the thunderstorm (seems like she's always in a menstrual period..lol! I hope she won't be given a chance to read this post. ) I didn't have a choice but to get up and off I went.

Yey, I wasn't late! (psst, not taking a bath is effective... lol!) So here, wow! We were welcomed by this beautiful ambiance.

The teachers who were very excited, more than ready to do the task!

We brought garbage sacks for the trashes and we will be going to the mangroves area where garbage usually got caught on its branches during high tide.

Start of the cleaning operation

We were fortunate enough the area was not that dirty as expected. So we're given the chance to enjoy the place rather than exhausted.

Clean and green mangroves area! This place brought me back to my childhood memories.

A pose after the cleaning operation!

Indeed, it was a beautiful experienced. The coast was not that messy as expected since it is near to a residential area. It made me happy because it just shows that the residents are now responsible in disposing of their own trash properly. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the task. Never a dull moment was felt while doing the cleaning operation. Felt like we're having a picnic and not on a service. If given a chance to do it again, I'll surely bring with me my little Fabio. It was full of fun...
