Ulog | Ulog # 1 | My Tour to World's Second Largest Salt Mine
Hi Guys! This is my First post on Ulogs!
Today I would like to share about my Tour to World's Second Largest Salt Mine Named Khewra Salt Mine , Located in Pakistan.
Some Facts About the Place:
This Mine is the World's Second Largest and Pakistan's Largest and Oldest Salt Mine.
According to Wikipedia:
The salt reserves at Khewra were discovered when Alexander the Great crossed the Jhelum and Mianwali region during his Indian campaign. The mine was discovered, however, not by Alexander, nor by his allies, but by his army's horses, when they were found licking the stones.Ailing horses of his army also recovered after licking the rock salt stones.
My Journey:
This was a Sudden Plan on Weekend. Me Along with my Friends Headed Toward Pindi Dadan Khan through Motorway. Our Destination Was About 191 Km from my City - Faisalabad. It was a Safe and Sound Journey as Motorway is in Accordance to International Highway Standards stretches all across Pakistan.
It was Around 11 am when We left and Reached our destination after about 2 hours 30 min. Drive. It was Fun Driving.

After we Cross the Gate, there was Tunnel with the railway track which is about 1 to 2 km long.

As we were moving Inside , the temperature started to Decrease! It was Cold in there.
It was an Awesome Feeling, Totally Different place like we were on some sort of Expedition for the hunt of treasures like In "Pirates of the Carabians"
As We reached near the End of the Tunnel , This is How These Beautiful Lights invited us!
