First Person I followed on Steemit and Why - 30 Days Challenge

It is the 20th day of the exciting 30 days writing Challenge by @dragosruoa. Needless to say, I have completely enjoyed my participation and I've even been lucky to have received that coveted upvote and resteem twice now. Thank you @dragosroua.

Today's question is a tricky one, because it is something I've never really given much thought to till I saw the question. To be honest, I couldn't even recall the person and had to look it up on the blckchain explorer before it came. However, as soon as I saw the name, little bits of the why started flowing back to me.

The first person I followed on this platform was @rabiuaudu. My reasons are a bit complex and requires a fair bit of explanation.

When I joined steemit in December, I had little interest in cryptocurrencies despite the strong bull run it experienced at that period. In fact it was the bull run that priqued my interest into steemit where I felt I could come and make a ton of cash. Needless to say, I was wrong.

My account was dormat for quite sometime from December till March due to time constraints and a general lack of will until I decided to take steemit seriously and improve both my creativity and my chances of making money on the platform simultaneously.

When I finally engaged the community, I started by commenting and @rabiuaudu was the first person to uptvote my comment. The upvote didn't count for much but it was all the inspiration I needed to convince me that I could find success on this platform.

He isn't too active these days from the looks of his account, but he probably inspires more than he knows.
