ULOG:014... The condolence visit

Wow, been awhile on #ulog, but now I guess am back, today I will be talking about how yesterday went... 2018/29/08..

First have not seen @surpassinggoogle lately, on every platform I do see him, thou have not really been active either.

Yesterday outing was a successful one for the @welfare-ng and @euronation group on #steemit, the mission actually was to visit the deceased family @onos who pasted on 15/08/2018, the management of the 2groups had already delegated some @steemians who went for the burial that was held in southern part of Nigeria, Delta state. Yesterday's quest was also a visit to the family of the deceased right here in Lagos, which I was part of Lagos team to go.

‎I like to thank God for the success of the mission, and also for putting shame on devils face again, after saving me from an unprecedented accident while ending for the mission, ‎but thank God for journey mercy.

‎it was a very big blow for the family to have lost such a talented and dedicated loving, caring Son who was suppose to light up the family financially with his zeal, and I know God will restore back the family soonest.

Good morning.

This is the report of the condolence and how the money was spent.

Delegates: we were three in number namely @eurogee, @lovethlouis and @emekasegun.

@sweetestglo-eu called the very morning that there was no one at home to entrust her son with. While @smyle gave work as the reason he wouldn't make it and the picture wasn't clear to me until the very morning. Hence, both didn't show up.

Incoming funds: N252,000 from @nairadaddy; 80.6 steem and 7 sbd from @fisteganos.

Steem and sbd sold to @ceepee @325/sbd & 320/steem totalled N28000.

Total: 28000 + 252000 = N280,000

Out going funds

Trans for @lovethlouis and @emekasegun, N2000/head; Totalled: N4000

Trans for @eurogee: N5000

Total: N9000

Total money given to the parents: N271,000

Summary
The mission was accomplished to the glory of God. Again, a post will be written with @welfare-ng account to inform the steemit community of how everything went, including how the money was spent. I believe all those — Nigerians and non-Nigerians — who contributed to that fund are entitled to a formal report.

I am currently in touch with his family to see if some $100+ in his account could be recovered and released to them. Again, I will be reaching out to the management of @bankplethora to find out if he was saving steem with them since he was a member of that community. If the outcome is positive, then the money will be recovered and released to his family, and this room will be updated accordingly.

That said, let us keep this group and try to live up to the purpose for which it was created at all times.

On behalf of Nigeria community, I appreciate everyone who made this a success, particularly the various community leaders here present, and pray against this sort of unfortunate occurrence among us again.
