Ulog #25: Rain won't stop my reunion with my friends in Subic, Zambales Philippines
"True Friends are never apart. Maybe in Distance, but never in Heart."
It was 3 years since we got to be together like this again, My friends since 2004. As we grow old we tend to go to different path of life. One went to Taiwan to work there, One became a marine and sailing across the oceans and other 2 just here in Philippines doing personal stuffs.
This month of July, we set to see each other again, after 3 years of being separated by oceans and responsibilities, we will cross paths again.
We planned a small outing just for us and some families.
But it wasn't easy like we thought, barriers like time schedule because of work, date of availability, place where to go and most of all was the 3 consecutive typhoon hit Philippines just this month.
We just decided where to go a day before of our outing. The weather wasn't good, rain was strong and warning of floods was issued. We chose Subic, Zambalesfor our destination. It was the best decision since my friend has a relatives living there that could guide us for our itinerary.
Saturday morning of July 21 we set off.
Along the way was still raining, the view outside wasn't visible while the driver carefully driving for us. As we hope that the weather could be nice for us even for a while we're on this vacation.

We took 5 hours of travel from Manila, PH to Subic, Zambales, quite tired not because of our long trip but because the rain still continuing to shower us, No sight-seeing, Sad :(
Our swimming planned to be held on Sunday morning so we could rest a bit while praying that tomorrow the weather could be better. But as we watched news about it, we already knew that our tomorrow could be worse because of much heavy rain.
Still we will go !!!
So lets forget for a while the bad weather and lemme tell a bit about our destination which is Zambales
Subic, Zambales is one of a great destination for any travelers and vacationist here in Philippines because of its good beaches and outdoor activities.This place is also perfect for diving and underwater activities, you can also hire and ride boats here and explore the sea.
And because it was raining during our outing, we can't go to the beach so we decided to find a resort to enjoy our vacation here on Subic.
One of my friend's relative told us to try this resort, Club Morocco.This resort is quite expensive located on Cabitaugan Cawag, Subic, Zambales. But I will tell you that this is a fine place to stay and relax, also to enjoy a pool just in front of a beach. Unfortunately, the view wasn't good when we went there because of the weather.
but fortunately we owned the place during that time, No one except for us was there. Maybe because beside of us who will go to a resort when the weather wasn't nice at all ?
As we arrived in that place, we felt that we're really rich, that was my 1st time to enter in that classy resort. The place was really huge, the pools were all neat and clean, very tempting to swim. We placed our things on the table because the floor outside was wet ( the rain still continuing and strong ).
I suddenly changed my outfit and went to pool, i wanted to try their pool :) while they were setting our things and preparing our food. We will have BBQ for our lunch. Even the rain was strong i didn't chill, i was just excited during that time so i didn't felt coldness.
My friends having hard time preparing the BBQ Griller because of the rain, we formed a circle around the griller to avoid the rain passing through it.
I remembered we consumed more than an hour just to made it fire, and another 2 hours to grilled some pieces of meat.
Even the weather didn't went along with us, we still enjoy our moment on Club Morocco. We able to eat BBQ even we took so long to grill it, we took also lots of pictures even the view wasn't that pretty. We make sure that weather won't be a hindrance in what we wanted to do.

After a long day of swimming while raining, we got tired. We decided to packed already our things and went back to our friend's relative before the sun went down, and while the rain wasn't heavy during that time.
Before we went to our van, we also had our pictures inside of their lobby. HAHAHA. Pictorial time :)
But of course the best photo was this, My photo with my 3 brothers for life :) we called ourselves F4, since as you see we're 4 right, ever since from high school until now, we're still strong and getting stronger. Our bond will never and ever break.
During that day ( Sunday ) the weather forecast in Zambales was this....
We knew that from the beginning of that day, we thought of cancelling our outing due to flooded hi-ways entering the place of the resort. Also we thought we couldn't enjoy our swimming because of heavy rain yet we still pushed ourselves to made that happened.
As we went home, the rain intensify itself, bringing much heavy rain and made streets flooded. The place we're staying in my friend's relative was also flooded. We helped cleaning the house even we're not yet well rested. There was also blackout(brown-out) during that time, made our phones not charged. We thought of getting stranded in that place and couldn't go home on Monday morning.
Also our home in Marikina experiencing much trouble as the water level in the river going up during that day. Hoping that the rain will stop and we get through all of this without any harm.
Luckily, early morning the rain stopped, we also received news that the level of water in Marikina river has slowly getting low. What a relief ! We also done cleaning the house we were staying.

Monday before lunch we took off our way home. We're full of memories that was all happiness and not sadness, not regrets, not complaints not negative thoughts, It's just pure happiness and gratitude to each other , to everyone. We were together in almost 3 days and that was the best thing we had. We laugh all the time, we share thoughts and opinions, we debate but we still understand each other. I couldn't find these people nowadays. Even the worst weather can't get anything from us.
Before we got to our home, we need to fill our stomach ! it was 5 hours of trip so we need to stop for had our lunch !
I am very lucky to have these guys !
After these outing ! maybe the next will be another 3 years from now ! one of my friend went back already in Taiwan this last Tuesday just after the day we went home from Zambales, see ! we really couldn't cancel our outing because he will really miss that. And by this November, my friend will also go back as a Marine and will sail again.
Time is really sure short for us being adult ! as an adult gives us lots of responsibility personally. That may make us busy and forget some of our beloved friends. But for us, it doesn't matter, As long we're on each heart ! distance or time won't really matter. I hope to see those guys soon, who knows when or where but i'm sure we will do.

Sure Philippines has lots of nice and pretty places that any other countries don't have ! There are lots of places I need to visit. Come on visit my country and you'll see lots of paradise hidden here :)
