The powerful forces of nature! Holding yourself up against the rock, against the powerful flow of the water, you can feel the intense pressure and strength of Mother Earth!
I heartily enjoyed your walk down to the river, and your explanation about the head statute. As it happens where we live as well, as tourism develops, major changes take place. People start setting up shops, to cater to more picture takers!
I am so happy that you are able to visit and spend time with Grandfather. Grandparents are a scarce and important resource, they do not last forever! We must cherish them and extract all the available wisdom while we can!

The power of nature is amazing and at the same time scary if you think of it. I really have to brace myself going against the flow. I think that would be a good place for river rafting if only the water is a little deeper :)
