Mountain Dew - Ulog Day 2
And so... the saga continues.
Me and my Sugar Shack.

To think that we are going to ever eliminate sugar from our palettes completely is a bit unrealistic, if you ask me. It's here to stay, and quite frankly - it's yum.
When a child comes to my Sugar Shack window for a Mountain Dew, here is my reply:
"Which flavor? We have five."
- Mountain Dew Ice: basically tastes like Sprite (with a lot of sugar and caffeine)
- Mountain Dew original: soda with just a hint of antifreeze (and a ton of sugar and caffeine)
- Mountain Dew Voltage: basically a liquid blue raspberry lollipop (with a crap ton of sugar and caffeine)
- Mountain Dew Baja Blast: its the prettiest shade of green. (with a hella ton of sugar and caffeine)
- Mountain Dew Code Red: I'm sorry. Is the name not warning enough?
I read recently that water has overtaken sodas as the most popular drink which is good news. As a type 1 diabetic, I'm a bit more conscience of sugars than your average joe. Might I suggest replacing with Bai. Low cal beverage plus funny Timberlake commercial.....What's not to love?!?!

How does it taste? Good enough for the kids to help Dreemie wean them off of Mountain Dew and on to Bai?

I think anything without artificial sweeteners is a step up.

Yes, be a bit sneaky, haha. Or maybe you can do a taste test or reward them somehow for picking the better option. This is exciting, watching healthy living promotion in action.

I had a plan to make two teams.... hehehehe and whichever "team" had the most progress (sales) - I would choose one person at the end of the week randomly from the winning team.
so they would be voting with their purchase... hehehee and then - whatever won would stay in the sugar shack as the newest product. and someone would win a $10 gift certificate to the gift shop.

I've mostly cut soda out of my diet (and my kids' diet). It's not as if they don't manage to get sugar plenty of other ways. The easy way is to cut out soda is just not buy it when I go grocery shopping. If it's not in the fridge, there's no temptation. I still get a soda once in a while when going to a movie or something but it's a once in a while thing as opposed to an every day thing. I don't drink Mountain Dew though and I've only even ever tried the original (antifreeze) variety. Anybody remember Jolt Cola? Their motto was "All the sugar and twice the caffeine" or something like that...

I don't drink soda anymore really either. only occasionally as a movie treat like you. but now that i'm working in the Sugar Shack for a few hours a day.... i'm surrounded by it - and plagued by it!

It's the worst drink ever. Lololol if you suck on a blue raspberry lollipop - it tastes the same! Lol and it lasts longer. And it's cheaper. And most likely has significantly less sugar. Hahahahaha
