If you are in search of outdoor activities to spice up your day-to-day indoor fun, then SANDBOX in Alviera Porac, Pampanga is a must-try with its various fun and thrilling to-do's on its menu. Adventure seekers will surely have their hands full with what the place has to offer.

Must Knows Before Going to Sandbox

The park is open 9:00am to 5:00pm Wednesdays to Sundays only, as we were told Mondays and Tuesdays are for facilities maintenance. You may opt to make reservations in advance, but walk-ins are also welcome.

It is accessible both via private and public transport. Grab car and Grab tricycle are available for hire in pampanga. There are also jeepneys in SM Clark terminal going to the village, just kindly inform the drivers of your drop off area.

There is minimal shade within the park, so expect to be spending hours under the sun while enjoying the activities. Best to protect yourself with sunscreen with spf 50 or above. Sunnies, hankies and caps/hats will be of much help, too.

It is crucial that you dress comfortably.
Rubber shoes are a must, guests who come with open-toed sandals or slippers may not be allowed to enjoy the facility. Shorts or pants will be ideal, for ladies who prefer to wear skirts, just ensure that you wear shorts underneath. It would be best to bring a change of clothes as it would more likely be a sweaty, fun day.

Gadgets will not be allowed while you are enjoying some of the park's features, so it is best to come with a group and take turns being each other's "baggage counter".

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the park, but there are shops within the vicinity to buy these from.

There are limited activities for younger kids. For kids weighing less than 35 kilograms, there are only two activities they can do- Giant Swing and Free Fall.

What To Do in Sandbox

A place for adrenaline junkies, sandbox offers various activities that can be helpful in confidence-building. You may opt to avail of pre-set packages or purchase individual tickets for those you wish to try.

Our package was for Php750 (about $15) each, which allowed us to do Giant Swing, Free Fall, Roller-Coaster Zipline, Rappelling, Wall Climbing and Aerial Walk.
Some family members also did ATV which costs Php1500 (about $30) each.

Archery and Go-Karting are also offered, and Paintball will soon be added to their list.

Giant Swing

A 10-meter high giant swing, this is one activity that 7-year old Rafa enjoyed. You will be hurled back and forth way up in the air for about 5 minutes. It is quite enjoyable, and as Rafa said it-

"Mommy, my heart broke over and over again while in the swing. But it is fun."

Aerial Walk

A misleading name, "walk", this I say is like a mini-version of the things do in the popular TV show "American Ninja Warrior". It is a set of obstacle courses like walking from planks to planks, logs, or shaky bridges, doing zipline on your own, traversing on ropes, this walk will truly test your strength and endurance!

There is a 15-meter adventure tower where four activities are done.

Free Fall

You will be harnessed, and a super strong wire attached to a machine will be your support. This was the scariest for me and one that would really require courage as you would literally need to step out on thin air. The actual fall itself isn't too bad, it was actually kind of fun but short as a full squeal cannot even be completed within the fall's duration.

Roller-Coaster Zipline

Not your usual zipline, this one has humps and bumbs and sudden drops that will make you scream your heart out (which I did. Definitely.)

Wall Climb and Rappel

Wall climbing will surely test your upper-body strenght. For even more fun,do it with a buddy and race to the top!

Rappelling will again be a test of courage, as a leap of faith is leaded for you to take the first backward step.

ATV

ATV, or all-terrain vehicle is best described as a motorcycles with three to four-humongous wheels. The 24-kilometer high speed ATV ride will traverse riugh terrains via Miyamit falls. The scenic route will surely take your breath away.

It was truly a great experience for the family that we will do all over again.
