#ulog (100) The Low-end Ulogging Life -- Sep. 29, 2018

Well, it's my 100th ulog and... I didn't accomplish much today.

With the RC issue seemingly resolved for now, @lordnigel went ahead and got the 9th Interactive Battle Tournament (IBT) underway on Steemit, which means I'll be spending a lot of time over the next 2 weeks helping him out to make sure that things are running smoothly for the players.

The largest portion of my day was spent attending a banquet that I was invited to by my local bank. Based on who was there (probably close to 200 people) and what went on, I believe that it was supposed to be a VIP event for the bank's most loyal customers, as measured by deposits held at that bank. Some of the invitees came from as far away as Texas, where said bank's national headquarters is located.

The banquet was a 9-course meal at a Chinese restaurant, and included two different soups, a meat platter, shrimp with scallops, flounder, lobster, mushrooms, sticky rice, and cake. It was a pretty good meal. In addition to all that food, the bank held a generous drawing -- 46 cash prizes totaling over $6000. (Certainly much better than some casino drawings that I've seen before.) Unfortunately I didn't win anything, although 2 people at my table did win $50 prizes.

When I got home I was pretty tired so I spent some time playing online games, then checked on the IBT and some other Steemit stuff, and then I went to bed. And that was it for my Saturday.
