💕 Ulog# - Nostalgic About My Gold Old Days In The University Of The Philippines Campus 💕

Good Day Steemians!

Today, I go for an early walk inside the University of the Philippines campus in Los Banos where I live nearby before I went to the market place. I reminisced those days where I used to go for a walk at the quadrangle area together with some office mates after office hours and have a tour around the campus on foot. And on weekends, I and with friend joggers after some rounds on the oval used to sit under the so called "Fertility Tree" or Acacia Tree.

The Fertility Tree grows at the edge of the quadrangle and it is the favorite place of athletes and students looking for some fresh air whilst studying source- its overpowering canopy has been a symbol of steadiness, stability and pride for students. At night, it becomes a love nest for some couples, usually outsiders, hence the Fertility Tree name was derived. The Rizal Centenary Carillon and The Gazebo

The Rizal Centenary Carillon. This tall bell tower is one of two non-traditional carillons in the country and is the second largest in Asia-Pacific. It was built to commemorate the 100th year death anniversary of Jose Rizal, in 1996. Long before there was a Carillon Tower. Back then, the fertility tree was the corner of the Oval. Before, behind the tree was all bushes. So it was all secluded and very dark at night, perfect for couples wanting to spend some private moments. At night at UPLB, especially midnight whenever it is not full-moon, the oval field is all pitch-black!!! I even know someone who made love at the middle of the field.. its really dark there!!! It only implies that miracles happen not only under the FERTILITY TREE, but even around the vicinity..A lovely place to be! 😊😊😊
