Ulog 25: Can Drafters win the Cooking Contest?
One of the activities of the month long celebration of the Nutrition Month is the Cooking Contest. This year, the said contest is intended for Grade 10 students only.
The objective of this contest is for the students to cook nutritious and healthy food dishes. For that matter, all participants should make a dish with malunggay leaves which is very rich of nutrients essential for the body.
The Participants
The participants are chosen by their TLE teachers with different specializations such as housekeeping, tourism, cookery, technical drafting, horticulture, electrical installation and maintenance and computer hardware servicing. Commonly and expectedly, the three groups of students from the cookery win this contest.
1. Electrical Installation and Maintenance A
This students are studying EIM or Electrical Installation and Maintenance under Mr. Regie Vega. Their course of study is very far from cooking, but here they are participating the contest very well.
2. Technical Drafting
Then here are my Technical Drafting students. We call them BTS group because their family names are Baay, Tampus, and Sampaga. Hahaha!
3. Cookery A
This is the first of the three cookery classes under Mrs. Meivy Lirasan. As you can see they are looking like professional chefs.
4. Cookery B
The second group of cookery students under Mrs. Caroline Japsay. Mrs. Japsay’s students were the first placers last year. Will they defend their position this year?
5. Cookery C
This is the third group of cookery students. They are under Mrs. Wilsyl Martinez.
6. Housekeeping
This are the students from the Housekeeping major. Will they bring home the bacon?
7. Electrical Installation and Maintenance B 8. Horticulture Dish 1 Dish 2 Dish 3 Dish 4 Dish 5 Dish 6 Dish 7 Dish 8 After the judging and tabulating the scores. The results were given. And here are the last contestants from the Horticulture under Mr. Jonjie Mata who was also my Horticulture and Biology teacher in High School.
