MY LOVE FOR UNRIPE PLANTAIN POTTAGE

If you took good note of the caption you would observe it isn't just any plantain but unripe.

Personally I don't have a best food..... yea, hope it doesn't sound weird because i know a lot of people do have their best foods.

I eat whatever nice available, so i love alot of foods but i eat depending on the one i have appetite for.

For unripe plantain pottage, i developed love for the food, i could remember back then in high school, it was always what I would tell mum to prepare for me whenever am coming back home

That was because i eat virtually everything in school except that.

Even in the university, i schooled we weren't permitted to cook any food in the hostel,so we bought our foods from the canteens in the school, or you could go outside and eat.

There was no where to buy plantain pottage, so whenever I had time to visit any of my friends outside the school, i would request the person to prepare that for me.

I love eating it alot and it tastes yummy!

HEALTH BENEFITS OF UNRIPE PLANTAIN.

  • Unlike the ripe plantain, unripe plantain has a very low sugar content, that is why it's been recommended for diabetic patients.

  • It's also recommended for constipation as it's rich in fiber which makes bowel movement easy.

  • It's rich in calcium, calcium helps to build bones, minerals and stronger teeth.

  • Unripe plantain also contains some essential vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy growth.

WHAT YOU CAN MAKE OF IT.

  • You can boil your unripe plantain and eat with red oil alone, or you can spice the oil with onion, castor oil seed, pepper, salt etc as you desire.

  • You can roast the plaintan, and eat with a source and fried fish.

  • Then you can cook it as pottage.
