#Ulog Day 18: Crab Apples
Happy New Week All.
Last weekend, my daughter and I went to visit my aunt just a few blocks from our house. We were invited for a lunch and dinner. Around 4pm, the rain started pouring hard so I had to run fast back to the house to close the windows. On my way back home, I saw this pretty fruit bearing ornamental plant outside my aunt's neighbor's house.
So I tried to google it and it's called "Crab Apple". Hmmm. Okay. It looks like a cherry plum, kind of wild but it would be so pretty to add this to your house front yard. It is also edible and I used to eat this kind of fruit when I was a little lol. A lil sour but it tastes like an apple.
Have you seen this kind of plant/tree/fruit before?
That's all for today. I hope you're all having a wonderful week. One love.~bloghound~

I know what these are! Yes, crab apples can be very tasty. They have a simple flavor, but the texture is like a little cottony. I think they grow mostly in costal regions.
How cool! Are you from the Coastal area @impatienttoptim ? I have seen most of these in the lowlands (tropical countries)
Thank you for the visit, my friend. You have a good one.
I live in Roatan, Honduras which is definitely tropical and Coastal. I used to eat these crab apples as a kid whenever we visited the beaches. I was told they're called crabapples because crabs love to eat them.
I have seen crabapples, even in Blossom. They are so beautiful and it's funny that something so beautiful would put out such sour fruit. But as a kid I loved them. I hope you have a spectacular week and thank you for sharing your wonderful photos with us.
They indeed look so pretty @dswigle <3
Thank you for stopping by and you have a fabulous week ahead, my friend.
